I used to use Greenstuff on my Pug 306 S16 donkeys years ago and really rated them . Never used to fade and almost no brake dust on the wheels . I'm guessing they've changed the compound as they always get slated on here .

I had that problem when i took the rubber off the back on the drivers side and couldn't get it to seat back on properly .I used a Hair dryer with a tube attached , it just blew the moisture about a bit . In the end i left it and it just disappeared naturally over a couple of weeks .

Personally after owning a 172 without TC and a 182 with , i think they're both crap cars in the snow , especially once it's compacted and frozen . I've driven in deep and compacted snow in Poland with Winter tyres a few times and they were amazing , it was as if i was driving on normal roads ...

When you start your car the TC / ESP is automatically on by default , the light on the dash is off . You want to turn the TC off before you set off ? Or am i reading this wrong ? If so , just turn it off before you actually drive away , the light on the dash will come on . Bobs your Uncle .

I had this a couple of months ago . Drove fine , parked up at the supermarket . Got back in the car and wouldn't start , couldn't lock the door . Also Immobiliser light was flashing . I applied it exactly per the instructions . Water doesn't sit on the windscreen as it would if it was untreated . But it also doesn't bead as good as Halfords own from low speeds to motorway speeds .Honestly . Have you actually tried Halfords own rain repellent gally ? Having actually used both...

Shopping and dining with me is an absolute blast ;) I'm always open to new ideas , but in the case of the G1 , i think i'll just stick with something that i've tried and tested and does exactly what i want at a relatively low cost and ease of use :D

I'm not missing the point at all . I thought it was self explanatory what i wrote . The G1 wasn't effective until 50mph and above , which ok , i already knew . Maybe i expected too much of the product that it " might " start to bead at lower speeds , like the Halfords own , which starts to bead...

I know it's stated that it only works at speeds of above 50mph , like i said . Mine started beading ever so slightly at around 45mph . But i did expect maybe there would be minimal beading maybe around 30 - 35ish . Personally pound for pound i think the Halfords own rain repellent is better...

Thought i'd give the Gtechniq G1 a try and tbh i'm not that impressed . The windscreen was properly prepared with the G4 polish and layered 3 times with the G1 leaving to haze between coats for 15 mins as per instructions then removed with the G2 . I know it's designed to work at higher speeds...

Mine hasn't done it for a few days now , was damp when it did and had been left outside overnight . I was thinking of swapping the lambda sensors over to see if that made any difference or like i said , maybe a leak where the exhaust manifold joins the Cat as it sounded like it was blowing , but...

I've had this happen a couple of times in the past few weeks , but only when the cars been left , say overnight and the engines gone completely cold . OBD11 scanner throwing up the code P0300 random multiple misfire . Which i can know can cover a mutlitude of things . It did it this time last...

+1 . Thats what i always do for the first few days , gentle breaking with my left foot while still on the gas pedal . It always seems to bed them in nicely :D Plus i always run a bit of new fluid through whilst the wheels are off , just to get out any air that might have built up in the system .

Never seen one of those before . It's on my " to buy " list . Purely because it's made by Autoglym :D

There are " 2 " aboves , lol . At the end of the day it's down to personal preference . Like i said , i'm more than happy with my set up so it's what i would recommend if somebody asks . Someone running HC's with DS2500'S might be happy with theirs and recommend that setup . Each to their own ...

+1 . I thought they were a sh!te tyre in the wet . Personally i'd go for Uniroyal Rainsports 2's . They stick to the road in wet and dry weather . Bearing we live in a wet climate and if this year is anything to go by , it's getting wetter .The Rainsports for 15's are only cheap , for example...

I've not experienced any noise or horrible rumbles with mine using the 1144's , they did squeal quite a bit when new , but i knew the 1144's were prone to doing that , that's something i could live with . Maybe the noise and horrible rumble was down to the DS2500's ?
