it wouldnt be exciting at all but it would fit, be resonably light, infact i beleive its an all aluminium engine? it was designed to be light, would make for a 172 pace, torquey, daily driver but as i said it would cost at least £3000 id recon, which is just not financially viable!
the standard chrome look is much better, going back a few years we all thought it was cool to do it, and when i look back at my pictures it makes me cringe.
less is more!
i know, im mr DCi but imo a megane 175 engine in a clio is silly! lol! would make a cool motorway cruiser but still! you would have to use a 5 speed box!
if you had plenty money maby a remapped 1.6 dci 130 with 160 odd hp would be cool!
my old 188bhp Iceberg and Aldo from here's EK9. this day was the best drive ive ever had in a car in my life, was a brilliant sunny day and we were proper pushing on down some of scotlands best roads!
it would handle like a pile of shite.
economy wouldnt be that great to be honest.
no revs would be boring and even with a map running over 200hp and 400lbft of torque it wouldnt be much quicker than a 2.0 16v F4R one!
an F4Rt would be a much cheaper and better option.
im all for doing...
what ever happened to BenR and AWT? i remember EVERYONE running AWT matched inlets a few years back, i had a set to and got a decent gain on them but no one seems to do it anymore?
depends how fussy you are and what budget you have to play with, if my car let its belt go id be taking it to a specialist and having a top end rebuild so i knew everything was new, tight and good to go. but as said, im fussy!
i had my 1.2 for a year before i turned 18 and bought my first 172, spent about £2k on mods on the 1.2 before buying the 172. dont regret it. i had fun in it and its the car that helped learn me how to drive properly
your description is breif, was the aux belt and tensioner changed too? sounds like possible re use of aux belt, tensioner has let go and your aux belt has made its way under your cambelt!
is the rear setup the same? (my rear discs look about the same size as my fronts! lol)
would i be looking at steering rack the lot needing changed?
hub adaptors for clio 197/200 speedlines are bloddy expensive so thought i may as well price up doing it properly at least i can have brembos too lol!
back to the original request lol...
my 100 running sportlines, konis, xenons, uprated discs and pads all round, remap
they need a 6th gear once mapped!
there is nothing wrong with a generic map from a place with a decent repuation.
what did that generic map start out as? they didnt magically make it up, it started as a custom remap on a standard car.
i do not see the point in spending £400+ on a remap for a STANDARD clio DCi when for £200 you...
to be honest back in 2001 when these cars were released (dont know if nav was available from day 1, think it was?) that is a pretty decent looking built in sat nav 10 years later in 2011 look at what renault is offering with these silly tom tom things. its the only option i didnt bother with on...
coloured badges and s**t looks cheap and nasty, soo 2008.
slammed on standard wheels with spacers. decent tyres. enjoy it until you can afford something better!
it should be dropping quicker than that from memory its been a while since i drove one though. check inlet manifold for air leaks, had the same problem when the TB gasket wasnt sealing properly on mine
195/50/16 is the standard size, i dont know if i can use any others im not clued up with wheels and tyres i just replace whats already on it usually! lol
for those in the know, whats the physical fitting differences between the non RS and RS clio 3 models, i know the differences on clio 2's because ive had plenty but never had a clio 3 apart!
basically what would be needed in total to run a full RS setup (suspension, hubs, brakes) on a non RS
