yep thats the 2 tone horn thats the same, its the single tone 1 with only 1 horn thats different, as long as it has both of them like the one in the link its fine.
holy s**t mate absolutely gutted to see this, was fuckin raging when i read how it happened!
look on the bright side u'll be glad it happened when your 172 is coming on cam and throwing you down the road!!!
ive not even got the 172 finished yet never mind the dci lol was trying to decide to keep it or sell it needed something to convince me and that will do lol, it costs too little money to run to sell!!
i used to take 172 out as my daily driver and knew it wasnt great on fuel but didnt care...
sweet im getting a set if this works!!
sorry to thread hijack but what sport of power and torque could be acheived using standard turbo on the above citroen injectors with a front mount intercooler.
Yes i have now but i fitted the 182 manifold when the car was otherwise standard, granted i had to fit a decat at the same time for it to fit the exhaust system but imo the large torque gain was the manifolds work rather than the decat, but agreed its going to make a bigger power gain fitting it...
in theory a 4-1 gives more top end power than a 4-2-1 yes but i felt no decrease in top end power and a big gain of mid range torque which is what you need for a fast road car (which is what i use mine for) down a backroad it was much better to drive you could just leave it in 3rd instead of 2nd...
as usual haha but lets remeber ive got everything he mentioned above and fitted them ;)
but as said if you can fit the manifold yourself then go for it if you can get one cheapish i wouldnt be paying to have one fitted or buying a new one!
being bloddy honest nothings worth it, leave them...
ill be keeping an eye on this thread mate good work i love a conversion!!
no 1 on here will ever like the skirts wheels or bumpers, infact i dont either but if thats what you like then good on ya! hell of a drive to pick up that bumper hehe!
reving a car to 4k revs is not going to do it any harm. not sure what ecu its running i just know he paid 1k to have the new ecu fitted, safe maped and then a remap when he gets the time
sparks coming from the exhaust are loose bits of the weld from the inside burning off was fine after 5 mins running.
yes they do need properly mapped infact i beleive there is only one company in the uk that is worth getting them mapped by? thats why its just had a 1k ecu install and map done...
on non aircon cars i used to curse when the battery side blew because it had less room, then i tried the drivers side on a 172 with aircon lol sore hands after it!
