Iirc its something to do with the car being French i.e the steering wheel is on the left so the door would or could have been used on a French clio , hence having the key hole on the passenger door . My old 172 had em on both doors , my 182 has it on the passenger door .
So has it just started running rough recently ? Did you get any sort of warranty with the car ? Seems a bit funny why Renault would change the plugs at 36k when its not due until 72k .
Was it running ok after the plugs where changed ? Has it just started to run rough recently , if so it could still be your plugs then .I know the plugs have a recommeded life of 72k but imo thats very optimistic , mine lasted 30k .
I was gonna suggest plugs , as my 172 was running rough up until around 3k , loss of power , lump etc ... i took it to the local bosch main agent who put it on the comp and it showed the plugs needed changing , changed the plugs and it was fine .
What plugs did you put in ? Maybe the gap on...
Is it the one on ebay ??

I sold my 51 plate iceberg full fat 172 in February this year for the same price , mine was very good condition. Looking on autotrader there are others with similar mileage for less money but further away from your post code .
Your best bet is to view the car first . Then if it is in good...
Wash in a washing machine at 40 degrees with no fabric conditioner , use the same treatment for all microfibre towels .
Lots of good stuff on carwashnwax . I can highly recommend the EXTREME BODY WASH N WAX shampoo and the XXX Hardcore Pure White Carnauba Paste Wax . The postage is the same...

^^^^ Brake discs corrode , fact . Especially on the outer edge where the pad doesn't come into contact with the surface and keep the surface clean .
Nice result that mate , well done ;)
^^^ I think your right . They tell you that your pads are getting worn with the hope that you will instruct them to change the pads for silly money and extortionate labour costs , and i would imagine the majority of people give them to go ahead to carry out the work .
Pads cost fcuk all ...
Why are they an idiot ? Mine had locking wheel nuts on , a cat 1 alarm with a lifetime warranty , better than the cobra ones that are fitted as standard which only have an 18 month warranty .
So if you saw 2 cars both priced exactly the same , similar mileage , age etc .... the UK car being a...
Check autotrader for current prices mate for similar aged cars, mileage , spec etc ......then you decide if want a quick sale and sell for slightly less or price it higher if you want a longer wait to sell it .
Insurance is the same , i'm on my second import in 5 years . As to reselling , i got more than some UK models , same age , mileage etc with my 172 on autotrader purely down to the fact the car was in very good condition . Imports selling for less is another myth .
The man talks sense :)
Its usually people who don't know what an import is that that sl*g em off . Its the the Jap " grey " imports that are different .Typically having no underseal , rear fog light , speedo in km/h .......
First of all , lets clear one thing up . Was it sold new in this country as an import like most imports or was it imported second hand ? Chances are it was ne when sold in this country as it will be right hand drive .
Lots of 172/182's are imports and are sold new in the UK by places like...
