ive had mine for just over a month now and i love it, costs nothing to run its awesome.
ive owned a 1.2 dynamique and can say this thing handled closer to my 172 than it does the 1.2 dynamiques, its awesome, steering is brilliant, less bodyroll its brilliant! mine just needs a decent set of tyres!
service light doesnt come on when its due a service, it comes on to tell you theirs a problem/fault and to take it to your dealer.
as said the ------ means your oil is low, top it up asap! (may as well get it changed if its due it)
standard rear backbox isnt actually that expensive but as said it wont last long.
u wont regret a k-tec stealth though, cant hear it on teh motorway at 70/80 can just hear it and no more when croosing around town but open it up and it sounds awesome!! (thats my opinion on one with a decat too!!)
bit more progress today...
Received my new PTFE Gaskets, not got my matched and polished inlets get that i got from a member on here so cant fit them yet but heres a pic...
The Guys at opieoils.co.uk supplyed me with my gearbox oil and also some stickers :p....
Thanks to N2grafix...
eek tcut! id avoid tcut, give Autogleam Super Resin Polish a go see how you get on with that will come up MUCH better!
looks good though, i think silver calipers would suit it, blue looks quite good too!
cheers for the advice guys, edde i know standard brakes are more than enough but its just i have 1 month old brembo disks and greenstuff pads lying around doing nothing.
I cant see the dci weighing much more than the 172 at the front end and the rear end in theory should be nearly the same...
my 172 is on par with my mates ek in they pics, its not any quicker or slower. it weighed 1075 on the weighbridge my 172 was 1050 (i think the weighbridge rounds up or down to the nearest 25kg possibly)
wondering if the bottom arms are the same on both the dci and 172 as my dci is needing brakes and since ive got a nearly new set of brembo disks, greenstuff pads, and 172 hubs lying around was going to fit them along with the 4 newish dampers and eibachs from my 172! (coilovers and 4 pots coming...
meassure it to double check, ive not saw a 52mm one (think they were 52mm) in years think they were only the earlier ones but give it a check to be 100%
no haynes for the 172 only non RS inc dci it covers most of the 2.0 though as most of the car is the same or similar but since your problem is engine related then it wont cover it
thats quite tidy, wheels suit it, if i was you id be getting either dual optics or suspension kit, coilovers if you can afford it or just an apex-60mm kit or something
must be a dci dont want a pic of a petrol non RS, my old non RS on apex sat to high at the front but i want to see how it sits with the heavy engine in it!
cheers
hi guys, looking to get a samco hose to relocate an open filter to where the battery used to be, does anyone know the size of the standard hose? any suggestions to somewhere that can supply me samco stuff to my specification?
cheers
spotted a few 172's and 182's at falkirk cruise tonight including a flame red 172 with a smashed grill, 1.2 splitter, huge 17" wheels, massive exhaust and lexus lights, was only a matter of time before the chavs got their hands on them!!
racing blue 182 with white ultraleggeras
silver 182...
