    Ph-lower progress

Ha cheers. I don't really worry about what other people think. It's not like I've put blue wheels on an F40 or something..... They're not really too blue any longer - more hint-of-brake-dust brown.

    Ph-lower progress

Turns out I haven't actually updated this for a while. Just renewed with Greenlight so it means I've had it a year !! Where were we......... So yeah, Bedford. That was good .. Went there once more later in the year and then Snetterton in Sept - maybe somewhere else inbetween? - and then...

bad day replacing the brakes on my daughters 1.5 dci

Get a locking nut remover from Halfords/ScrewFix and get on with it ? ;)

bad day replacing the brakes on my daughters 1.5 dci

I'd be inclined to put 4 normal bolts in instead of the crappy locking ones. No one's going to steal standard wheels worth £50 (unless you've got something ridiculous on there, which it doesn't sound like ......) and the damn things are more hassle than they're worth - as you've found out ! If...

    Leaky boot or wheel arches

Gromits - 99.9%.. Take the gromits out, clean the painted surface and then put a ring of tigerseal or something similar on there on the outside surface and squeeze them back in so no water can now . That's all I did and I went from having a lake in the boot quite literally inches deep (how the...

How far would you drive to Test Drive a Renaultsport?

Whups. Luckily for me, my local RS dealer is almost a stones throw away from my house

How far would you drive to Test Drive a Renaultsport?

I'd like to drive it as far as possibly really... I've driven cars before and for a five minute jaunt, they're OK .. but on longer journeys things are annoying - comfort based or something like that. Things you can't figure out in 5 minutes that become apparent after half an hour or a week of...

Convert text rich doc to MS word doc, help needed

What operating system are you running, Steve ? Windows.. XP ? Or earlier !? What program have you got for editing letters ? Word, I assume...? Do you know what version it is ?! No point turning it into the newest version type if you're running something 5/10 years old that's all.. Not sure...

    Clio smoking quite badly

If it's not using any coolant - where else would the water be coming from ? It's cold - steam is more apparent in colder weather. Is it the standard exhaust still ? Are you doing long or short journeys ? Does it ever get properly hot - like a 30+ minute drive not at 30mph .. is there still...

    Clio smoking quite badly

*Steam. Oil is blue and fuel is black. Unless its doing an Uncle Buck impression... Don't worry about it. It's cold.. Water is part of the fuel/air burn output..... It's fine.

Just put new tyres on and track day tomorrow.

Just go with the AD08's unless it's wet. Keep an eye on pressures... job done. No reason why you can't drive at 6/10ths even on full slicks ;) No point munching a set of road tyres either... unless it's wet then I'd be going with them and keeping a very careful eye on pressures :)

    Photography Chat and Questions Thread

Are you shooting full manual or in Av/Tv still ? Post up some examples... Host them with flickr as most other places just eat them with crap compression. As for making them sharper or pop more.. Again, what is it, what do you want it to look like etc.... Only you can know that. Composition is...

Different people will have different opinions.. (like CS tyre threads haha...) Go to a shop and listen to some .. use the thing you'll be listening to (i.e.: iPod / Phone etc) and play some stuff you'll be listening to normally. No point buying something that makes dance music sound amazing when...

    Winter Tyre Pressures

If they're the same size as you were running the day before on 'summers' .. use the same pressures as those, i.e.: standard 33f/30r (?!). If they're brand new, it might take a few miles (read: hundreds) to scrub in a little and they'll feel a lot nicer. Just remember not to fall over in the car...
