Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
Little update today.
Picked up the bits needed for a wide track conversion.
Now I need
new or adapt the rear abs sensors
rear discs and pads
braided lines
lower ball joints
rear springs (after cup springs)
I'll paint it all up before fitting.
Front...
1 think I'll add to this is the cost involved. It's not cheap at all. I imagine if you spray the car you will never get the overspray off in some areas and would be finding the old colours for years.
Clear for stone chips sounds good though, but if the stone is powerful enough to take the paint...
It's not hard but you do need to be precise. I'd never done anything like it before and just gave it a shot. Took me about half an hour to do the dials and I haven't given the other bits a go yet.
this might be of help to you...
I ran 15mm spacers on the back, 16mm on the front with et43 wheels, sportline springs and had no scrubbing even when fully loaded :) was close though at times on the back!
They aren't bulbs, they are smds with are about 3x3mm and have to be soldered to the board.
I take it you changed the facia of the dials then and didn't do the circuit board. Plasma dials?
I don't think it was an option at all from factory. Some very late initiale models came with cc.
change loom if cc not present. Took me a while to retrofit
Icey squib is for cruise and airbag but as you don't have cruise it will be just an airbag model squib.
Once you've taken the top cowling off (pulls off) stalk control has a clip on top you press in and it pulls out. Don't touch the torx as will all fall apart if you split the casing.
What do...
Yeah looks okay. Just make sure it's not written off or been in an accident as it's Gumtree, advertised with recaro style seats as well which isn't the kind of thing a normal DCI driver would put.
"All trims present" that's a weird thing to put.
Very cheap for what it is though so I'd be a...
You'd probably be the first to do this on the forum so if you really want it you could chop it and see. Otherwise I'd send it back as it will be difficult to sell on eBay/the market
Agree chip but a pop of the bonnet would almost guarantee if it's a new one or not. Injector pipes start to look old pretty quickly and pip and injectors get grubby, it's a diesel!
PAV is pre-accident value. Usually based on book price.
If it's a cat D they will expect to get around 40% of advertised pav on sale and pay around 25-30% of the pay out PAV to the insurer.
Links on copart go dead after the auction has run.
It will say on the front of your radio which one you have. If it's a standard stereo it will be one or the other though. They work with both, had mine in my 182 and DCI which have each type.
150k wouldn't be marvelous on the original injectors and pump but that one has had both replaced so is ready to do another 150K no problems. I would buy that if I had the money. Probably going to be a bargain as well because, like you, people will worry about the 150k.
Injectors and pump and...
I wouldn't get a golf because of the increased tax and DMF issues on cars around the 2k mark.
I have retrofitted climate control. Have a look at this and you'll decide you don't want to do it! http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?720172-DCI-65-pov-spec-commuter-OEM
My 65 is a little...
