It's ridiculously easy. Get programmable timer - set for 100 shots - go back indoors. Watch DVD. Go outside, collect camera. StarStax. Upload !
Baaaa.....
:o
Also in the 'I've taken a photo and I like it' thread which I'm guessing will be the 'I've tried taking some star trails...
Fair enough... try 100 or 200 next time and see how you get on ;) If you've got a lens (go on, what was it .. the cheeky nifty is my guess?) doing f/2.8 you're not exactly worried about getting enough light in.
Newer car - better safety - insurance grouping - cost and availability of parts for a 5+ year old car is more than one they're still manufacturing...
Plus, when you call them up, they just have one big button on their keyboard labelled "random number generator" and that's the price you get :rasp:
Interested to see the exif on this one, Scott.
Star trails are so easy to do, I love them !
Booshy - you can do it in one hit, but you end up with an over exposed or generally rubbish picture thanks to the immense light pollution in this country. Middle of the desert or top of a mountain...
Not bad Matt... try turning the colour temp down to 2500 / 3000 and see if it looks any better - i.e.: it takes the orangey glow out of the streetlamps.
:)
I had a go at urban star trailing last night for a work photo competition.
Laindon Star Stacking by evil_giraffes_rule, on Flickr...
Car sounds jinxed ! Run awaaaaaayyyyy !!!
But if you do buy it back, presuming it comes to that, find someone breaking one and do it that way. I'm hoping it's not gone into the side of a bus at 70mph though ?!
Genuine Renault parts are hilariously priced. If you end up buying a second hand...
Nope. Driven a few Ph2's and can't even get close to my old ph1.
Drove all the way to Manchester in the OH's old 182 and I could only just see 40 being ridiculously cautious.
There's enough MPG threads on CS already. Ph1s are generally high 30s to high 40s, Ph2s are 30-40. Go have a look :P
For me - I went from a ph1 (with a years gap to a ph2). I hated the Ph2.
Interior was nicer to look at in the ph2, but still did the same job as the ph1.
Fuel economy was 10-15mpg worse. Stupid electronic throttle was annoying as hell.
Tyres are more expensive and the ride is not as nice as...
For a gentle nudge for a reminder etc, OK, acceptable. For something serious, no f**king way. Not on at all.
Would you email the cops if someone was breaking into your house ?
(OK a tad OTT but similar point)
As I said, you were close...
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?38-Exterior-amp-Bodywork -- if you check the very top line, there's a sub forum for detailing nerds. :o
Why aren't they calling or at the very least writing to the address they have on record ?! Very unprofessional to email with something seemingly serious; i.e.: you might not be covered and have no idea about it. What if you were on holiday or had no access to internet for some reason ?

Hi, you were close, but next time try the detailing section.. ;)
Probably tar as mentioned.
Give it a wash (properly) - Tardis - Iron-X - Clay - polish (if req'd) - Seal - LSP (last stage protection) i.e.: wax.
It'll be just fine
Car looks tidy. No before pics ? :rasp:
My only criticism is with the photos, same mistake IMO people make a lot of the time - move about a bit more ! There are too many looking at practically the same section of the car.
If the thought of it makes you feel awkward, or you're getting hassle off colleagues, friends, kids in the street about it, and that makes you feel awkward... do someting about it.
If not, don't even think about it for a second more.
I'm going to guess your OH is not a 'car person' ?
