    Cat suggestions

I've been running a cat2u for 5 years now with no issues. You can't go wrong for the price of them!

    Speaker wire for surround sound

QED micro wire is good quality and will do the trick for surround or save a few ££ and get QED micro bi-wire and carefully split it in half.

May have to sell the RB182 :(

I'd fix it and keep it. I don't get why so many on here say it's such a s**t commuter car. Yeah it's no 3 series but it's also no Arial atom. They really aren't that bad with air non, cruise, half decent mpg etc.. As for the not wanting to put miles on it, if you don't someone else will so whats...

    Clio 200 Mk3.

The fact that you had a new 197 then around 50,000 1*2's since speaks volumes imo...! 197-200's can look amazing but they just look too much faster than they actually are and overly expensive to run with it... Should've done the r26 engine/box in them for perfection but as it stands I'd take...

Good spec laptop for around £300 - £400

Then crack on:blush:. I still wouldn't/wont be recommending them to a non techie though! Think I have 40-50gb of music kicking about and I'm not even a DJ lol.

Good spec laptop for around £300 - £400

Because the likelihood (for a non techie) of it becoming too full too quickly is too great. Windows gets gets more and more bloated over time, music collection becomes more bloated as more is added, new versions of the DJ s software becomes more bloated, DJ decides to try other new software to...

Good spec laptop for around £300 - £400

As said before, I'll agree to disagree with you on that one. I wouldn't recommend something with a 128 to any of my customers though!

Good spec laptop for around £300 - £400

Of course I did, and I also realise the one I posted is of a lesser spec. I'm talking generally in that 128 is pants on a laptop with the rest of the spec being as good as it is...

Good spec laptop for around £300 - £400

Will have to agree to disagree with you on that one. Rest of that laptop is decent and then it's shipped with that crap ssd. Soon as you start putting anything like CS6, auto cad or what ever other large apps plus updates plus a few games etc that space limitation will soon be seen. I wouldn't...

Good spec laptop for around £300 - £400

Obviously they're a bit cheaper but not massively when they buy in bulk . People don't want to be carrying separate drives around all the time. 128 is lame these days with the size of the OS and apps. It's like getting a phone with 8gb on it still. It just doesn't cut it anymore...

Good spec laptop for around £300 - £400

No idea why they still sell them with 128GB ssd's. 256 should be the minimum by now.

Good spec laptop for around £300 - £400

Tbf, pc world has got a lot better than it was in recent years. Its had to to compete with all the online places... They'll still try and sell you loads of way overpriced crap with it though! The problem with a lot of places is that they still keep selling them with with slow 1tb HDD that most...

Good spec laptop for around £300 - £400

Nothing wrong with Windows 10.. With my 2012 samsung i3 laptop with an SSD I could restart it now and be back browsing CS in around 30-45 sec. The difference they make is massive...

    Integrated Amplifier

I'd have the cheaper Denon I posted over that Sony because of the HDMI. The other will do airplay, spotify/internet radio, DLNA etc. Have a read about it here. https://www.avforums.com/review/denon-avr-2313-av-receiver-review.397

    Integrated Amplifier

I'd be looking at Denon, Yamaha or Onkyo On that budget something like this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Denon-AV-3D-Surround-Home-Cinema-Receiver/192477639593?hash=item2cd08fb3a9:g:cdAAAOSwO~Vaegwy Or this might work better taking the cost of a pie off etc...

    Integrated Amplifier

Both those you've linked will be crap. In what way was the Sony "too much"? Personally I'd be looking for an AV amp. 2nd hand or new depending on budget.

    182 with 197 cams

Found mine difficult to drive after fitting. The main problems I had was that it had a very unpredictable habit of stalling when ever I stopped at any lights and it kangeroo'd constantly in slow moving traffic.

    All In One Computers

I wouldn't go near one. They can be difficult and expensive to get spare parts for if something breaks on them ime. Some laptops with a monitor and kvm switch could be a better option? Or regular desktops..

TV /Now TV / Sky / Top Box

@jonno_c Have you looked into why your tv reception is s**t? When I got rid of Virgin and got a freeview play box my reception was crap. I tried everything apart from getting on the roof eventually got these out to check for 4g interference which wasn't actually that bad. They still put up a...

TV /Now TV / Sky / Top Box

I went from virgin to Now TV and think it's brilliant for £6 a month tbh. So the video quality is s**t and your suggesting using a scart to hdmi adaptor that'll be a lot shitter!

IT network/domain stuff for small charity (plz help)

You don't need an expensive super powerful server as a domain controller. Just setup an "okay" PC with as a server. Iirc charities can get decent discounts on MS licences.

To cam or not to cam that is the question

My 182 with 197 cams made 159f/lb and 188hp and happily kept up with my friends 182 that had 438's and apparently 193bhp. On that basis I'd say they were good value for money (if you need your belts doing!) That was also with the cat still on so it might find a few more ponies if I put a decat on.

    Philips Hue and Living colours

Thats a cracking deal. Would've gone for it my self if I didn't already have enough bulbs... Shame they don't seem to be doing much with the Iris, blooms etc this year. I also struggled to make that link I posted above work for some reason.

Don't think they work, unless they've updated them. The new Ikea ones are meant to work and are cheaper. They only do white ambience ones so far though.
