I did a mad rush on Tuesday evening changing engine/gearbox oil. Arranged to borrow a tent this morning....f**k knows how to put it up. Bought a sleeping bag two hours ago. Beer will be purchased along with a few bags of ice Saturday morning to stick in the cooler box. Will buy some food last...
Everything is documented here

Recent cambelt at a specialist is the major one to look for. Every 5 years or 72k. If not, budget £600 to have it done
Buy my 172 for 1000, spend 500 on belts, thrash the living daylights out of it on track
Already got eibachs and cup shocks
Suppose it depends on if you're after a minter, or summet to have fun with on track
I assume you mean the pollen filter?
Yeah under the scuttle, just unclips and slides off. Then there's a tiny screw holding the pollen filter cover on. The gap is smaller than the filter so you have to bend/pinch it a bit to get the filter in/out
Are we parking cars next to our tents, or is there a separate carpark?
Also, how far is the marquee from the tents? Just so I know how far I'll need to walk to fetch a beer from the ice box lol
2002 iceberg 172
3 owners
87k miles
MOT till January
Body work is fairly tidy apart from a keyed drivers door, otherwise I'd say it was pretty mint!
Cup shocks and eibach sportlines
Polybushed dogbone
10mm rear hub spacers
16mm front spacers
Just had new NGK plugs, engine oil and gearbox oil...
Think I'm gonna get a crate or lidl German pilsner bottles and then a few nicer beers for late on. Got a beer cooler bag that fits a standard sized crate in :)
