    im pretty sure the 172 cup shocks are different to the normal 172 ones, slightly stiffer. wish i had kept the original sales brochure i had when i bought my cup new years ago.

    the op doesnt state when in 2008 it was changed, could of been january, so could be 5 years in circa 4 months. the cambelt snapped on my ph1 after 4 years and 10 months, it had done 30k in that time. actually it was more the failure of the aux pulley that caused the belt to snap, bet...

    id look for the very best u can find, pay more for a good one thats had the work done rather than buying cheap and spending a fortune on bits yourself. as said cam and aux belt kits done with proof is a must, trust me you dont want a snapped belt, i know, it happened to me. rust on rear...

    I reckon they will go up in value, if it's mint and low miles/ original etc, as long as your prepared to store it for about ten years or more. I remember Sierra cosworths being sold for around 3 grand back in 1995 now they are going up and up in value

    Feels weird looking at my old car, like seeing an ex with a new bloke. Lol. Love the turbines good choice. I'm off to swr tomorrow to get some bits fitted to my new ph1 to erase the memories of the last time I was there.

    did u say your in glasgow? why not just go to swr autos in stirling? they charge 380 iirc for both belt kits using genuine renault parts and are highly recommended, lots of people including me from scotland have used them.
