Subscribed. Ours was awesome, I especially loved the way the steering wheel moved out the way when you got in/out of it. Oh and the v8. The fact it was only £450 was the icing on the cake really. Miss it tbh, such an epic barge.
I've briefly touched on the differences in my thread here: http://www.cliosport.net/threads/another-mcs-the-track-day-toy.755737/
But essentially after a trackday at Bedford:
The Trophy was however ALOT more forgiving than the Mini on the road, the Sachs dampers were just sublime - perfectly...
Thanks!!
Just bought the facelift gearbox as well.
Man Maths kicked in buying it - as i saved £100 labour on fitting (the lsd is still in the FL box, so it would save 1320 time taking it out & transferring it into my pre-FL box) so once ive sold my g'box, its probably a free upgrade lol...
Little update on this, as i finally decided what to do over the weekend ... I bought both :tongueclosed:
Picked up a Quaife from the Trackmini forum yesterday morning for £370, then 5 minutes ago ordered the following from Orranje (with a 10% discount & free delivery, sorry Russ!):
Safety...
£17.40 for Sky Line rental
£10 for unlimited 38MB fibre
£5.99 for Netflix HD
Freeview/iPlayer/OnDemand etc through my Xbox One
Then my parents Sky Go on the iPad if needs be.
By saving money on Sky TV that i dont need, i can spend more on fancy toasters & kettles.
Tbh, its not so much us crashing it i'm worried about, its some other muppet running out of talent!!
Was quite a bad accident at Bedford recently where someone got t-boned and made a right mess of the poor car that got hit. Potential removal is a good point re: residuals though, forgot about...
So, this morning i am pondering whether to get a Quaife fitted (circa £1050 at Lohen), or a Safety devices front/rear bolt-in rollcage (circa £750 from Orranje). I know that the car would benefit from the diff, but as i share the car with my now fiance, Sarah, safety is becoming ever more...
Not seen it as he lives in Leamington Spa, but he says its very good. A 1/3 of the cost of the S3, but certainly not a 3rd of the car.
Said the gearbox is better, its more fun and its nice having a normal handbrake again, so he can do skids in the work carpark.
Pretty much, along with what has been said above lol.
Difference is that CS members fit V-Maxx coilovers & camber bolts for £300, whereas Mini owners will only fit KW ClubSports.
No point fitting anything else because they are all suspension engineers who adjust their dampers before each trip...
TRL on BabyBMW. The 340i is also on mega discount at the moment, circa 25% lol!!
Leasing wise, the 330e is the uber deal this month: https://www.gateway2lease.com/cars/bmw/3-series/3-series-saloon-petrol-330e-2.0-phev-m-sport-auto.php
£230 a month!!
With leasing, if you see a good deal, you have...
Not sure on that particular link, but my mates was delivered on Monday, for a similar price, so they are available. Or where anyways.
My M135i was £285 a month!
Quite why you would consider a 200T over this i have no idea:
http://www.ukcarcontracts.co.uk/car-leasing-volkswagen-polo-hatchback-18_tsi_gti_5dr_dsg-67166.html
JCW is the original one, Dave F is the copy, Orranje is the copy of the Dave F.
There is also the "hobo version" which you make yourself with some drainpipe & a dremel.
You can get an M135i for £299 a month with £2k down on a 4 year PCP, thats with circa -23% off the new price.
A friend just got rid of his S3 Saloon for a Polo Gti on lease, that costs £145 a month lol. Golf R is circa £250 a month.
If you consider depreciation, my M3 would be cheaper to run...
Yes, the e46 M3 one fits apparently, but "a rod" needs changing, which is a massive faff!

Not sure if R56S front setup will fit will 15's, hence i run 16s! R888's are expensive in 195/50/16 size though :(
I run R56 front setup with Carbotech XP8 pads, Nitrac grooved discs, braided lines & Castrol SRF. Bear in mind that on track, the pedal isnt as firm as the clio (even when bled...
If it helps, i know exactly what you meant.
I'd imagine that quite often the type of people that highly modify such cars are very much "cash income" and/or "distribution" types of people, similar with Cossies/scoobies/evos etc. So the communities/tuners would naturally hear gossip on occasion...
Better late than never, but the December track day was awesome!!!
Actually, no in the morning it was awful as Team HARD had 30 billies flying (re: crashing) around doing timed laps in their Golf's (rather naughty), but once they had buggered off in the afternoon i got some decent laps in :cool...
Haha, love it!
The one i liked most the "full BMW service history" on an '05 M3 from a BMW dealer that were bought out/changed their trading name in 2004 😂
Forged service history courtesy of an utter numpty lol.
Grey can be ok, but only if combined with the black...
I thought that was an utter bargain: http://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/showthread.php?t=142775&highlight=2006
Not sure how you couldnt agree on the price lol, for £8.5k id just buy it.
