Small update. I went upto Cadwell to watch the guys race and lend some support. Was good to catch up with people, and a great days racing. First time at Cadwell and I thought it was a great circuit, so its on my trackday list for next year.

This. When I did some sums with Mike Woodford for a 300 bhp clio it was not far off £12k, and I already had a diff, suspension, cage bla de bla de bla. Lol!
Hence me going the supercharged route, and sticking at 240bhp / 250bhp.......
I'm not saying that the spigot ring is taking the load. I'm saying if the spigot ring is knackered / not the right size, then the wheel may not be centring on the hub properly. As that is the point of a spigot ring, is it not?

I thought Opie oils have a 20 per cent sale on bud, so it's probably cheaper / same price to buy one of the "better" oils. I use Fuchs Titan Race Pro S.

At least the wheel didn't fall off. I think it may be the spigot rings, so change those and then test. Did you buy the wheels new or secondhand?
Spigot rings? I'd swap those first as you say.
What wheels are you running to require spigot rings? Are they aftermarket? And what size?
I don't think you will have knackered anything over a 100m or so trundle with loose wheels. Unless they were really, really loose.

Yep, £3k will get you a reasonably tidy 182. Spend some time reading about on here for the main things to look out for and you can't go wrong really.
