hi and welcome you dont need the bumper off to do either of those. mask up the wings and lift the bonnet to refurb the lights pull the bumper forward slightly to unclip the grill :)

Lol button locks, sensor opens... The button on the rear diamond locks it too and it's sooooo annoying when people use it to try and open the boot with it lol

Doesnt the button on the handle lock the car? Or do you mean the sensor behind the handle?

How long is it between unlocking and you opening the door? Are you giving the alarm time to disarm? I used to set it off quite a lot in my old 1.4, it sets off then disarms after a second or two
