    Tim's Forged LY R26

It's all about experience mate imo. To build a high performance motor requires it as there's so many little things that you can overlook. However, f4r's are a bit of a w**k engine whatever guise they're in!

What covers are they mate? I didn't choose to go with braided hose because I don't like the stuff. It rubs through stuff and it's a bit of a wanker to make the pipes up. This stuff is much easier! You only need a sharp blade to cut it, then it's just a case of pushing it on to the fitting.

It's just open mate. You don't need the thermostat when you've got the coolant passing through, plus these cars warm up very quickly which is a real bonus.

Done a bit more on the cup over the last couple of days. Adjusted a few bits and pieces so that the gen90 will now sit on top of the gearbox mount/battery tray. Still not 100% on keeping it here, but until I start laying out the new loom I'm not gonna know for sure. Tight like a tiger in there...

    rs2 manifold

No mate no longer available I'm afraid. My original cup engine was dialled in on Grp n timing (I have a tool) and it went very well tbf. Midrange torque was the main area that was improved upon over standard. It also gave it a bit of legs up in the top end, but nothing massively noticeable...

Alternatively fit them on standard timing and run a different dephaser. There's another cat amongst the pigeons! Lol

No mate. Not yet. The wife says it's one or the other. She prefers the cup as I've got the shell and cage to protect me. Lol! Not 100% sure when it'll be tbh mate. Not likely to be until next year though now. It'll be TF mate. Trackdays are just too expensive for me to justify and I prefer the...

It would mean re learning the entire track mate for me. So many differences to it on a bike to a car, so the lap time may not be so impressive! Lol

Short shifter, strain on the gear box?

You need an assistant to hold the gearlever in neutral (so in the middle of 3rd and 4th), loosen the clamp and tighten up once in the correct position. They can be a right c**t at times mate

Short shifter, strain on the gear box?

    The linkage needs adjusting mate.

At times I don't like it I f**king hate it. S1000RR looks significantly more appealing.

Does anyone know what these gearbox parts codes are please?

See where the black boot is on the selector? That's where that nylon piece goes.

Does anyone know what these gearbox parts codes are please?

I know where the fucker goes now!! That nylon item is hidden under the rubber boot that the rod passes through. It's on the main selector shaft

Yeah it's getting there now! I'm not sure which item I hate the most currently. It's a close call between the pms manifold and the airbox. Both have caused me headaches! Lol

Items 8 and 9 on the schematic you posted in the other thread mate are what you need. Not sure what that nylon part is though.

Done a bit more today. Starting to fit things now and not have to remove them which is a bonus. Still plenty to do, but it's starting to look like an engine bay again. There's not much space left!!I've fitted the forge coolant hoses so I can see the route they take and if they need any clearance...

Does anyone know what these gearbox parts codes are please?

@dann2707 @warwickstingray got the numbers for the items that wear in the gear linkage for you both! 7700 743 133 and 7705 010 093. You don't need 8200 201 750 as it doesn't wear out apparently, it's the part numbers listed before that wear. Give George a call at Renault Wolverhampton and tell...
