I hate mine off the road I just keep buying this to add on and then thinking I'll just do that aswell haha lol
Gunna try and get my engine back in Sunday.
ARP bolts in
Box ready to go on, all PMS mounts torqued up.
Plastic windows stood up well to some awful rain and hale
PMS pulleys arrived, extra pulley's till I can decide what I'm doing with the PAS
Waiting on gear oil now and some bits and bobs from Renault.
Thanks mucka, yesterday was plain sailing, today not so much lol
Ran into a round bolt on the water pump, someone's proper had a go at it, failed and left it lol, and rounded conrod bolt which was a massive concern but managed to sort that ok, thankfully.
Box is ready to go back tho :)
Anyone who wants one of these manifold should just wait for a second hand RS2.
End of the day James who did the RS2 manifold cares so much for the product he made he'd go above and beyond to anyone. You can still get hold of him and he talk you through all the fitting, make sure you got all...
Had today off work so decided to spend it in the garage. Dug out my crane and stand.
Striped the box, clutch and flywheel off and stuck it on the stand
Found a useful pole to keep all the wires off the floor
Old standard diff
New LSD
And the rain stopped as I was...
Exactly how I bleed them, I'll use a easibleed as I'll probably be on me own late at night sorting it lol.
I thought the same thing with the bottom set, if I made a pipe it'll give me 4 spare bleed nipples aswell lol.
Can't see a link pipe causing any issues really.
Oh the gear oil for the...
Work in progress but think I'm chickening out tbf.
I work for GSF and rang round all the major recon and new suppliers of steering racks and all the there records and cross referencing points to DCi racks being 3:1 lock to lock.
I've even physically tried the mk1 racks and mk3 racks and none...
Had 10 minutes in the garage tonight.
295mm bells and rotors, 4pot wilwoods under 15s with no spacers. All tho I need a 5mm spacer for the 205 tyres to clear the coilovers
Being buying a few things for the clio as the engine will be coming out soon.
And I'm still waiting on my lighten pulley set and ARP conrod bolts.
I did 40 minutes in the garage and whipped off the brakes and shafts ready.
The RS2 is a Nice bit of kit. I managed to bag one of the last oringial manifolds from James Stone who designed rather than the ones available now.
Got em from here

Fronts are spot on, wish I got Plastic4Performance rear ones tho.
Yeah exactly, just upgrading to ESAP is more money when I've just brought a diff and 4pot brakes and other stuff. I just wanna abuse the car haha. Need an ecu or to get mine mapped for a RS2 :)
Yeah I'd just fit the rack and remove the rest.
But I have same concern as you, don't wanna ruin the car by making it worse or not liking it and having to spend more money to change it back or upgrade lol. (Talking myself out of it here lol)
I have a rack tho and my engine is coming out soon...
I'm in a similar boot to you @Josh
Can't make mind up on steering so I'm gunna fit the DCi manual rack and give it go. Least then you can jump to EPAS as when.
I fitted a manual rack to my track Ibiza and loved it. Was hard around town but shift it was good. Running too much camber tho made it...
Started the Clio tonight for the first time in about 3 weeks. Started first time considering its on a Varley redtop25 and was all live and connected up, so pretty happy with that.
All I did tonight was remove the drivers seat again, to fitted the VBD x-low frame.
I also dug out my PMS axle...
Have fitted just this mount
As I'm sure it says it adjusts the engines position slightly in the description on PMS site, if that is the case I'd guess you need the others.
I have the whole kit fitted to mine, it's vibratey and noisy but nothing major.
