Then it needs a new clutch and/or cable and ratchet - you can change the cable (genuine ONLY!) to help it a bit...
I cannot tell you how much better it was with a new clutch, cable and pedal - transforms the drive.
Get those orange repeaters back on!
Sounds like mine - only thing that doesn't work on mine and it's annoying me!
Fuse is ok, Relays fine, fogs DID work fine for nearly two years then had a fit.
Where behind the liners are the connections?

Infact I've never seen a williams I would be truely happy with - my own included - I can pick a fault with the very best of them :o
Don't piss around with motor factor s**t on a williams - it'll bite you in the arse later on.. this is where its pricey owning a williams if you need to replace lots of stuff!
I don't think so, my williams would have pissed all over the ph2's! Really wish I'd have run my williams up against my 172 before I sold it.

I quite fancy doing something like this but I wouldn't expect to ruin the paint to achieve it.

I tried several 172's, cups, 182's before I chose one - none of them felt any faster/slower than each other - if anything the 172 I bought in the end drove the best.
You know money no object it's gotta be the willy, but 172's make such a better daily runner - My williams was a great example but they're not great day to day anymore..
