Hopefully the thing is we moved into this house under lease for a year while we look for another house - so we have to get the landlord, estate agents to deal with it and hes an arse so could take some time.. :(
after a severe wash theyre replacable parts mainly i.e wing, door slight scratch on bonnet but no panel damage and small scratches on bumper..
Bumper I dont mind as that was getting done end of next month anyway - think ill just get a new wing door and get the bodyshop to spray from the bumper...
Well to be honest I think its gonna be a full respray jobby as theres bits and bobs all over the car - ill just run it as it is till I have the funds for it - at least no-ones gonna nick it the way it is now!
Wind = Loose tiles on roof = Hit Car = Damage Galore...
Ive had nothing but trouble with this car and the only good side of the car the passenger side has just decided to get smashed to bits - scratched bumper, wing - need a new door and the shattered bits of the tile have just sprayed the car...
If I got a spare central locking reciever from another clio and put it in mine would the fob recognise it and let me open/lock the car as normal?
As far as I was let to believe its the key thats coded not the actual reciever..
Is that correct?
Cheers
Having trouble finding somewhere that will cut another key for my spare fob, theyre all saying they cant do it as theres a chip inside - duh i know that but after you take it apart its just a bloody key! albeit a funny shape..
Is it a Renault jobby or have people managed to get it done at...
^^^ sounds like what I was after! so it takes quite well then if you dont rub down parts etc.. scuttle was on the list too just forget to mention it.. good good think I might go and get some goodies from halfords..
^^^ the thing that worrys me is obviously you can have the mattest if matt black but as soon as you whack laquer on its instant shiny time!
I was kind of hoping for a wham bam affair would quite like to keep the plastics texture too - see why im struggling! heh
Im going to be doing this over xmas so i need some help!
I want to spray my handles, door strips, boot lock basically anything thats plastic black so it never fades and I dont have to back to black everyday..
What do I use to get a matt black finish? what about that hammerite in a spray can...
^^^ there are a few inaccuracies ive noticed - was flicking through got to the early mk2 clios, turned the page expecting a lovely mk1 172 and.. the end! heh.
mine kind of does this matey, curls up near the edges of the door?!
thinking of getting a red naples kind of colour replacement but dont think id be happy with it when it was done - want something lore "lush" (Chav!) though - its like rice paper this valver malarky!
^^^think I will then - might get the back lowered first then and if im not happy when i put my fronts on I can get the back done again..
Then ill whack some pics up!
^^^
If I put the 35mm springs on the front and drop the back an inch (25mm) will it a: handle wierdly and b: look silly?
I dont want the back down 35mm as I think its too far.
^^^ ive got some 35mm springs been sat in my room for ages pondering about whether to put them on and match them at the back.. 30mm or 3cm is roughly an inch anyway isnt it??
