Id use it as my first car and keep the cash spare as to when it breaks down or needs work - thats what Willys are all about.
I dont think theyll end up like Raiders though as that was just a colour really - The Willys have a racing link plus theyre more special edition are they not that the...
Or a 106 Xsi - buddy of mine tinkered with it was a right laugh - pretty rapid too for what it was - look ever so mean in black I think..
Or like roy says the Mk1 rallye Im not a big fan of the shape of the mark 2s
I went through a really bad week not so long ago - Was so mad at so many things!
The whole week the car got abused - I pretty much hit the limiter in every gear, every change, every day - and I swear by the end of that week it was faster and running better!
God bless limiters!
Well I paid £3000 For mine that had 74k on the clock - I only paid that much because it was the exact thing I wanted - Like they Tom said you pay what you want!
If that was Naples Id have had it (but without the plastic alloy caps!)
Thats pretty much mine although I swear Im just past 40 when I hit second - 65 in second (weyhey!) 91 in third and ive defo seen 120 in 4th...
And I used to think I got a bad un.... ;)
I jumped straight into the Mk1 172 test car when it had only been out a few months - and people say I do look quite young for my age so bugger knows how I managed it!
Ahh memories....
Ironically the guy I bought my valver off started chatting the car up to my dad while I just stood there -...
No rusty arches or boot for me but like Ben said Ive got a slight bubble forming at the bottom of the drivers door pillar - easily sorted!
Bloody salt and gritters are annoying me at the moment - im doing alot of late night (4am) early morning runs and my alloys are f**ked at the moment!
Pro...
Yup what I got told this morning from Hendersons - its booked in - in the morning - he told me when I had my timing belt done that whoever had - had the previous work done on the car (the timing belt before but Im not very trustworthly so I got it done again as I had no Printed proof!) had done...
dont alot of peeps just take them off lower spec clios to lower em anyway? my mums RT has never had them on in the 6yrs shes owned it and she bought with 3k on the clock!
Got one on the valver - came with the car - I was going to fit something different but its a very unusual sound so Im keeping it for now! Quite subtle at idle (but you know its there) and nice and throaty on full throttle - doesnt boom at 4k either which is nice!
love my Valver I do.
Not had a thing go worng with it and ive just hit 80k - I got the timing belt done myself so I know its defo been done.
Only slight annoyance is what sounds like a fan belt slipping at the moment - I though valvers didnt have fan belts?!
Well I dont have a dealer round here anymore so its the arse factor of going out of town to ask them face to face or to ring them up and ask them.
Judging by the last time I chatted to Renault on the phone Id struggle to get through to them what a gear know actually was!
I really considered getting a posh Momo one - even hadf it on the counter ready but I really really really want to get a new spanking standard one.
Id like to keep it standard as possible... ;)
My valver gearbox is clunky I must admit when its cold - fine after it warms up.
Quick question - how long do they usually last? When should I expect it to go pop?
