Exactly if the turbo warms it up then is there really any point in a enclosed air filter, an open induction kit with a good kevlar heatshield around the turbo , is more than suitable for the gt turbo, money is better spent on cooling the air from the turbo with either a double capacity...
Brun have you got an adjustable timing sensor yet?
it is highly recommended that you use one of these babies if you plan on using ordinary unleaded petrol
Jim
Noticed last few times ive been out in the williams there has been a strong smell of petrol coming from somewhere, its usually worst when ive just started it and driving for the first few miles
not sure if its anything to worry about or maybe its the cold weather thats making me smell it...
Brun, ive got a spare Header Tank if you need one, i can post it to you for a 15 quid if you want it?
Spending money on engine dressing should be the last modification you do fella!
Are momo and sparco steering wheel hubs exactly the same, as i have a momo steering wheel already and fancy a sparco one so just wandered if it will go straight on
cheers
Jim
Your chip is located underneath the jack inside the ecu, within a black plasitic box.
The chip will increase the rev limit up to about 7600-7800 rpm
You will gain roughly about 10bhp using a chip combined with a magnex , de-cat and performance air filter element in your standard box
Dont...
Mate this guys williams is probably the fastest standard one in the country, like most cars you get good ones and you get bad ones and Jons is fukin unreal
with just a powerflow exhaust ,de-cat, and an aftermarket air filter he managed a 14.6 quarter mile, which is faster than any lightly...
Ben, if you get it chipped you wont be complaining about the rev limiter cutting in anymore, in my opinion is the best modification you can do to the williams and it will feel like a totally different car to drive.
Also Rally design no longer do the 285mm kit for the 16v/willy because they had too much hassle from customers complaining they wouldnt fit behind the standard alloys
Fact- are you willing to pay hundreds of pounds on huge brake discs just because they look good?
unless you have a clio with huge amounts of power ( granted Red16 will need them) you most certainly wont need them, the clio is such a light car.
Its up to you mate but if you want superb...
He never mentioned getting an induction kit!!!
Does matter which replacement element you get mate the greeen and K&N are both very simular and will both do the same job just as well
The K&N is probably cheapest
Yeah i second Nick on this the only way is to take the fog out and put a decent sized scoop in its place. the hole next to the fog is a waste of time, its just not big enough for the amount of air needed to flow into the pipe
