Ive got two sets of wheels which were used in testing on that car (Fitted to my vee now ). Its far from a sleeper aswell. It has a full Trophy exhaust on show at the back and a huge ammount of ally inside so I'm guessing it has a pretty racy motor only with a normal H patern gearbox.
Renault...
Quality vids with some pretty special cars there. My best mate is an avid old skool hotrod builder. Its cool a fcuk to go out in his knowing you can leave everything behind at half throttle and in a car that is nearly 70 years old.
Nail on the head!
The bloke obviously knows exactly what he is up to, knows exactly what he wants and is building exactly what he thinks. At the end of the day, there is more to life than sub 300hp lol. Fair play to him I say. Can you imagine what other CS members would say if a build thread...
Would have been better with an RB2* motor but looking at the quality of it I'm sure the owner had his reasons for going with that lump. Lovely car none the less.
Yeah thats fair enough, im the same with the original Mini. I spent over 15k on an A seires instead of going vtec so know exactly what you mean. I have to admit, I didn't realise rotaries were so cheap to tune......still prefere 9 liters of V8 though:rasp:....oh and the potential of 2500bhp+...
To be fair malice for about 10k dollars you will be getting the same ammount. For that you'll get fully ported iron cylinder heads, uprated rods and pistons, single Street Dominator carb, MSD ignition, hotter cam, brodix inlet manifold, ex manifolds etc etc. Like I say, you with out doubt know...
Hardly.....have you ever heard of crate motors??? Parts off the shelf for 1500+bhp motors?? Its the cheapest bang for buck I've ever seen lol Good for your mate too, fair play to him. I'm sure he will agree the difference between a 9.9 and and 8.9 is a HUGE one though ;). Oh and bare in mind, we...
Fair play to you and him for sticking with it then. Like I say, I'm not taking no credit away from the rotary or what it offers. Cracking motor in a cracking car. Given that the fastest road leagal RX7 can only just muster under 10 seconds says it all to me . Even though we run low 9's and high...
I won't lie fella, you obviously know s**t loads more about rotaries than me fella and fair play to you because they are something I'd love to know more about. Awsome bits of kit, I wouldn't argue against them. But as for pace............I'm not going to laugh as I'm bet your car is VERY quick...
Sorry, just an opinion about a 3 rotor on ITB's. Would love one fully bridgeported etc etc. Rotors are actually engines I love by the way so I'm not putting them down in anyway. I've been around 1000bhp V8 hotrods for a few years now and your comment about V8's delivering lazy power is flawed...
To be fair, the guy on the bike is pretty damn special to touch the floor mid corner AND on the exit. Awsome skills full stop. Anyone who argues he hasn't needs pointing and laughing at!! As for the LS motor in the RX7, that is a brilliant conversion. Don't get me wrong, a 3 rotor on ITB's would...
Is just a simple diff change though. My last mini had a 3.66 diff that mad it a screamer. Could always have fitted a 2.9 or 3.2 though. Gearing is never a problem with mini's. Only hero's roll with 10" stretched rubber lmao
This thread is identicle to rows/opinions made on a forum I used to be on regarding Mini's. Which was better...10", 12" or 13"??? 10" wheels always won as I'm sure 15"s will here. In general, the smaller the wheel/tyre combo, the better the handling. HOWEVER, the cars suspension geometry...
That is fair enough. Each to there own.
So to all the v6 owners out there......
Take your splitters off, put your cromodoras back on fleabay, remove the uprated coilovers if you have them and don't forget to put the original back box on......if you don't you'll never sell it!
I have no problem people not liking the colour at all fella, not in the slightest. Saying "I'd rather buy a "straight" one" sort of insinuates it's bent though don't you think?
Hi I'm Brett....the owner and seller of this "bent", non "straight" clio v6.
Reason for painting a rare car in Nocturne???..............Installing a 350-400bhp turbo engine, uprated non reno box, different management, coilovers, pre production split rims reno used to test the v6, Full Sabelt...
