Yeah think I'll just stick with the normal HC disc's and my RC6 pads. Think my discs have had something stick in them and have a little groove round one of them so might replace them.
@George@RTR_Parts best price on a set of HC disc's and cheap oem pads if you can please. Thanks.
I thought it was the brake lights that supposed too flash when braking hard (think it's a euro spec thing) seen some 4.0 V8 M3's on track that have it on and think my dad used his VagCom to code it on his R8.
Apparently it gives the pads a little room when stuff gets hot around that area it expands a little and without the shims helps keep stuff free. I've done 2 track days and a few hundred road miles with no issues whatsoever with no shims.
The previous owner ran the same pads on track and left...
Certainly wouldn't be short of advertising space if you dished them out on here.
What size number do people use? saves me nipping out to the car in this weather and holding up some A4 paper to the door to see what size I would need roughly.
Is there much difference bar the price? £45 for the plain HC and £99 for the max grooved and at the price for the plain non grooved disc's I could have a spare set of them sat in the van as a back up on track days (unlikely to be needed but you never know), These would be going on my track car...
I don't run the shim's with my CL6 pads they do clunk around a little but dont have any issues gives a little more room when they expand on track when they get hot. just a little noisy and they do sound like they're gonna fall out in reverse lol
As said above save the £640 and that will cover the cost of removing and having it rebuilt by someone who you choose (i.e agency) not some random garage who is cheapest chosen by the insurance/warranty people
was recommended to have a read of this by Sparkles as I was wondering about what too use on black.

I paid 23k for this Supercharged one, there are so few about the hold their money very well i seen a 07 with 120k on it non charged up for £14k (the charger is almost 7.5k alone + the other bits, 20" wheels are 4k if you can find a set second had they go for about 2k)
Thanks @sj2112 i see your avatar you also have a car I used to own lol I bought myself an R32 when I was 19 but made the mistake of impulse buying and not checking Insurance and then having too pay £3-4k insurance haha mine was Black though couldn't find a DPB one I liked at the time
I'm debating as the wheels need a refurb on either gloss black again, silver face with black inside, just all done silver or ceramic polished. Not sure if the polished would be too bling for it though.
Thanks everyone for the comments it certainly gets attention wherever I go lol people love it.
To be fair @gally It's not that bad lol I average about 13mpg (i just dont do many miles in total even my 335d or 125d BMW's were wasted doing 4-5k a year hence the purchase of a big V8) and insurance is only £700 tax is almost that lol at £500. Can you recommend any thing I can use by hand to...
Thanks Guys. Always fancied one and thought why not this came up for sale at a really good price and they are quite rare so don't see many about and get stopped constantly by people (young and old) and loads of looks. People actually come up and say is that the Aussie car of top gear lol... And...
After waiting endlessly for Ford to release details on the New upcoming Focus RS I got bored and bought myslef some Aussie Muscle lol (Holden Commodore) or if you buy it over here a Vauxhall VXR8 mines is the LS2 engine so 6.0 with a Harrop 122 Supercharger with uprated pulley running in the...
Do we have a discount code for auto finesse? I've seen the Ultimate kit for 159 on eBay with free postage and think it's 175 on the auto finesse website not sure on the postage from them assume it's free.
Thanks Sparkles I'll have a read of your thread. Just a pitty the bonnet on my VXR8 is probably as big as my Clio lol gonna take me a while whatever i do.
My dad has a rotary but not chancing it on my car lol.. I'll stick to elbow grease until I know what I'm doing haha. Is there any paticular wax that gives better results on black paint work?
Are these any good and is the polish/wax ok for a Black car? (not my Clio) It has a fair amount of swirls and a couple of stone chips that need touching up, I'm new to all this cleaning (properly anyway) lark and fancied getting a kit and having a crack at it. My dad is into detailing lol but he...

I posted about Chi having some 3M headlight restore kits for sale but the post has gone. If you search for him on here and message him or search for the group on Facebook if you have it Renault Cars and Parts for sale that's where I seen them @ashbe84
I have one of these just for mounting harnesses off, i have the one with harness bars think it was about £170 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-98-2005-renault-clio-rear-rollcage-track-day-race-rally-reault-sport-autograss-/131526779841?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1e9f9b63c1
As title really I have a Ph2 172 Cup and bought some OZ F1's for track and was under the assumption they were a direct fit? Or do I need to use spigot rings with them.
Cheers lads
