Considering the Zetec s is group 8 and quotes are around £1500 Fully comp for her, A 106 Rally is is group 11 and so will be pricy on insurance and dont look good. Its 2.2k for her insured on a 16v so a 106GTI is going to be similar. So all above are not feasible. She wants to only pay a little...
None of the mentioned are really feasible. A willy and GTI are going to cost just to much to insure.
I was going to help her pay for the 172 but the cheapest quote was £2700 :oso i dont think i will!!! Willy is probably the same!
The quicksilver looks the most likley as they are also cheap...
Hi, Last week my lady friend stacked her car into someone else. She had saved for a 172 but was waiting till Aug to get one as her insurance has gone down.
But now with no no claims and 2 claims against here as well as 3 points for speeding she just cant afford the insurance. She is also 19...
Going to give the foil heat sheild a go.
Last time it stopped working was in the worst place. It was at a cruise and the police where emptying a car park of cruisers. I had to wait till every1 had gone them push start it. The police where giving me some looks. I was waiting for them to do me...
Im getting mine done soon. Dont know what sort of places will pollish it though. Where did you get yours done Wongy as i live in essex too.
Whats happened to you latley anyway mate. You aint been on here for ages. I thought you might have sold your beast!! I saw it in Redline or one of the...
Its down the back sorta under the exhaust manafold. I really dont wanna have to fork out for another starter. Hopefully if i get the foily stuff that will help it.
If it dont i will leave it and just put up with it until i am out at work in sept!!!
Kev
His motor looks sound. I have seen it in the gallery before but never rearlly looked at hard at it. I am appreatiating it now. The more i look at it the more i notice mods he has done, like bump strips are smoothed, handles colour coded, splitter fitted and sprayed and sutble side skirts...
When i put mine back on the car seemed a lot faster ( i presume because of the weight difference). Wicked fun. I nearly took off on a hump back bridge straight after putting them back on.
Makes me wanna sell my 17S and buy some lightweight 17s like OZ ones
Need some advise.
Sometimes after driving a long distance when starting my car irt wont start. It feels like the immobiliser is cutting in but it can be pushed started so it wont be that. I have decided that it is the starter moter. I changed this because it was lasy a yr ago but it still...
Im thinking about getting some standard wheels back on mine. I love the phase 1s best but they are never as good as my 17s
Im thinking about getting the phase 1s referbed and chucking them on for this winter as they are piss to clean compaired to the 17"s.
Wheels definatly make the car but if they are big then it has to be a combination of wheels and lowered else it looks like a 4x4.
I am hoping a de-cat will be the best mod for the money when i actually get round to buying 1
Nice 1 boys!!
Both your cars are looking good and i look forward to seeing the features!!
One thing i dont agree with is the criteria needed to get cars features in the so called leading car mags. I know Andy Mills from Max and he loves my car but cant even do a 1 page feature without it...
Whats every1s favourate mod that they have carried out?
On mine obviously the wheels and drop make the car look up to date but my favourate mod has to be the Leather as its rare and makes the car unique. It also impresss every1 who takes the time to look at it!!
Whats every1 elses favourate mod?
Yeah. Its was called Street Specials but they split up and changed to KustomWorx! Street Specials are starting again at the mo and so will be doing work dirt cheap to get there name around again. I caught them last year when they first started up and they done a bad boy bonnet for £100 and it is...
I would say that if you go to a small bodyshop you could get the work done for around 1k. I wouldnt get it done for much less really as you get what you pay for unless your getting a deal from a mate or something like sbmbailey.
What i would do is find a bodyshop out the yellow pages and go...
