You could always get the Trophy coils which ive heard are a fit and forget job. Only problem is they require a slight change in wiring. Expensive initially, but maybe cheaper and alot less of a pain in the ass over the long run.
Not being funny but it is possible to get over 180bhp with a blown 1.2. Ive been tuning/rebuilding mini engines for a few years now and 200+bhp from an 8 valve 1293cc 50+year old A seires is not uncommon. Most of the lads running around with the Eaton M45 blower are running either 1275cc or...
That Aston though!! For me, the Audi S1 was my fave but with a 6R4, T16 and the odd BDA going hell for leather there was something for everyones tastes lol
I just got lazy fella. We just sat in the car watching the motors going round in the end.lol We had a debate on whether the vee would sound like a 6R4 with open pipes at that point......a test is on the cards with an active exhaust!!
Trust me, once youve seen the ammount of work that goes into Streamlines products you'd be more than happy to pay the extra few pennies. The quality and know how from Chris and Merv is huge. Im currently having some fog surrounds made for my Vee by them and Im sure they'll come up trumps.
Yeah that was me!! First time Ive been spotted lol I was there on saturday too with another vee in liquid yellow but in the normal car park. Haven't had it too long but I can't beleive the ammount of attention it get. The new Quicksilver exhaust has added to it as well lol
In all honesty, I reckon tuning a 1.2 of any make of car isnt a waste of time if done correctly. Ok these are modern engines but it doesn't stop you using old fashioned tuning techniques to get a bloody lot more power than a remap. Ive been tuning Classic Minis for a few years now and its not...
If the top end destroyed itself and the cam belt did snap, you would still beable to get some sort of movement from the bottom end. However, if the auxillary belt was not working properly or came off, this could have stopped the water pump from working and could have seized the bores solid. If...
Bought it off of Pistonheads. Took me a while to find a nice untouched one but it still has a shity steeringg wheel!! lol
I tried registering on v6clio.net but I never recieved an e-mail from them confirming it. Might have to try again.
Yeah you do have to keep an eye on the speedo in them. Drove down to Bristol on the M4 last friday and and was doing 110 without even realising just after the Castle combe junction. Ive never had a 6 speed either so 110 does really seem like 70-80 compared to other hatches.
Its Iceburg silver. Was tempted to go for the Ph2 with the bigger range of colours, especially the stunning pearl yellow but i've was always wanted a silver ph1 and is exactly what I have now.
Ok, well on the exhaust front, im planning on either buying one of k-tec's silencers and modifying it, http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=1086 , or have one made thats similar in design. However, at either end of the silencer will be a valve that when open will completly bypass the...
Hi, ive been looking for a couple of little things for my ph1 v6 but can't seem to find them. Im after a carbonfiber front splitter, similar to the ones fitted to the trophy race cars and some carbon air scoops. I really want it all to look factory fitted and purposeful so a good quality part is...
Just thought I'd say hi as Im new here. Ive also just got my first reno last week too. After a bit of searching Ive finaly got a ph1 V6 clio. Now im just after ways to make it go quicker
