Lovely as always Has - change the reno diamond on the front for a nice carbon one that would finishh it off not that anything is wrong the way it is now - wheels go nice with the blue turini's are soooo common now (runs and hides then realises he's The Big Yin so waits)
I had richbrook ones and once you get the old off its pretty easy but i did need to cut the both of them off with a very very sharp stanley knife
as stated above needs to be a lift up reverse gearknob when you take of the old its just a case of putting the new in place and tightening a few...
The first part you have explained sounds too me like you have some wires round the wrong way - try swapping the wires around a bit and see if that makes a difference
