yep thats the cable i originally linked him to, much cheaper too (as long as his tv has vga input )

you will also need an analogue to digital converter as vga is well... analogue (which is about £40 on top) :) unless your video card supports digital signal output through VGA port. Which is why i recommended a vga to vga cable.

Yeah not all will fail but thousands have! Logitech replaced my 1000 with a 1100 free of charge as it was a known fault, check the forums there are countless posts about the 1000 going tits up. It also relies on java as opposed to the flash os on the 1100 which is why it's so sluggish.

the harmony 1000 is pap, far too slow and the volume buttons fail all the time, i have the harmony 1100, its immense. shouldnt be that expensive nowadays either.

I just switched to sky from shitty BT and my line is now much quicker... im synched at 18 meg and have yet to see any traffic shaping..... unlike BT's almost 24/7 shaping.
