What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

Jimmy Oakes is ok if you like Japanese cars. His workshop videos are pretty good compared to a lot of others.

What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

I don't mind some hubnut stuff, but I watched a couple of his "reviews" and they grated a bit, as it felt like he was letting his own personal opinions get in the way. He seemed to really bum the old Rover/British Leyland stuff, but not like some others. There's much worse content out there though!

Civic FL5 Type-R. Seen a couple of these around recently; there's this blue one, and someone that lives near me has a grey one. I've got to say, I quite like them. Shame they're so pricey, as I'd happily drive one. Big styling improvement over the FK8, interior looks nice, and meant to be an...

Oops I did it again... Adey's Clio 200 EDC

Be interesting to see how you get on with the clutch, and how much it ends up costing. Might help a lot of people out who want more power, or want to use the cars hard on track.

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

Yeah I replied to the email and asked what they think might be causing the issues in D2.0, as that's an old game now, so plenty of people will have used the drivehub with it. Glad it's working on EAWRC at least. Now I just need to learn to use the handbrake without binning it :ROFLMAO:

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

Finally got my drivehub working with EA Sports WRC yesterday, as Collective Minds replied to my support email. This means I can now use my Thrustmaster TSS handbrake, instead of having to fumble for the "B" button on the wheel. Still not entirely sure why it wasn't working before, as I'm sure...

They look cack with the small wing, but I do like the black interior more than the red, so I think I'd buy one and fit the big wing to it. They definitely need better wheels though.

New French Tat, but it's not a Renault

It has crossed my mind  If I do wheels, I think it will be alloys though. The standard ones aren't the nicest anyway. 😂😂😂 It was always the long-term plan to move to the UK, but made sense to be here while her kids finished school, and the money is much better here for both of us. The...

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

Does anyone have any experience of the Collective Minds Drivehub? Got mine yesterday, connected it up and it's making the wheel behave really strangely. It has resistance all the time, even when not in game and, if you do try to use it, it doesn't recognise any steering inputs. Tried updating...

New French Tat, but it's not a Renault

Yeah I did read about that. They have quite a short service interval, which I assume is part of it. I think they have made some changes over the original version too. What kind of oil does it take? Might pick up a bottle just to keep at hand in case.

New French Tat, but it's not a Renault

Decided it was time to buy a new car. Had my Clio 197 almost a year now, but it's not ideal for my daily ten-minute commute through city traffic and, with our equivalent of the MOT due, I thought I'd buy something else. The problem was, what to get? While everyone immediately thinks of supercars...

It's certainly going to be interesting to see how it plays out. With Geeley's money behind them, and Volvo tech to pilfer, there is potential for Lotus to make some good cars in the coming years. Whether that translates to sales is another matter. The Emira is a stunning looking thing though.

No different to Porsche I guess though. They have to make stuff like that so they can keep making sports cars.

Just about the best looking car on sale right now in my view. Absolutely love them. No no, this is the hardcore performance version. All 100PS of it.

I assume the same as standard, as it's only a dealer special edition, so they're not going to have stripped it out. I think they're between 1100 and 1200kg.

You weren't old enough to appreciate the meaning of "pink or brown", so your opinion is null and void. I think Active is about the lowest I've seen. A shame they don't do the 130PS 1.2 with a manual 'box. That would be enough.

I'd go back to that in a heartbeat. Great days. Far more interesting than people leasing a car, throwing the Maxton catalogue at it, a pops and bangs remap, and then removing it all before they lease the next thing and repeat the cycle. At least people were creative back then.

Saw this on Twitter earlier. Apparently a Peugeot dealer in Switzerland has been offering a modern take on the "Rallye" with the 208. It's basically just the wheels and sticker kit, but I think it's quite cool all the same. Based on the 100bhp 1.2 turbo. Always thought it was a shame that...

Sim Rigs - Let’s see yours

I spent some time over the weekend modifying my GT Pro Lite, as the position of the shifter was all wrong. The Logitech stuff is clearly designed to fit on a regular desk, so has a big chunk of plastic hanging down that means you are really limited on how you can mount it. With the Pro Lite, it...
