Just because it's older doesn't mean it's a money pit, i've had my valver a year now and the only repairs it's needed were the front brakes at m.o.t. time. With the budget you have i'd imagine you'll get a very well looked after williams that is far from a money pit.

I wouldn't swap that for a 2k bike tbh, engine bay doesn't look very tidy, missing covers, no heatshield etc. Up to £1500 is more like it for a '92 imo.

Depends how bad it is, is it just surface rust that can be rubbed down, or full on rust that needs to be cut out and new welded in? The latter can get expensive
