Sounds like potentiometer. Mine was ticking over low and trying to cut out. I messed with mine and mines fine now. You wont notice a differnce when you adjust it if the cars running. You have to turn off the engine and restart it. Bet you its that as it sounds exactly like what mine was doing...

You have a point mate. the one above might be better. just with a cable.
weight do you have a cheap contact or something to paint wheels? the number of wheels Ive seen you get re painted! hehe, they look mint in white. Woulnt mint mine done in that but seems a shame as mine are quite shiny still.
Make sure you get a good job done mate. Ive had bad experiences with painters. No one can make your car look as good as new though if you are having bits done. best off waiting and getting all the bits done at once. You may end up having the whole car done by the time you are done.
PS. Have...
I cant see the pint swappin. Make no difference. I bought some for a previus car. Did nothing at all. waste of money really unless you actually need a new set.
There was a topic on this a while ago about fitting one of those digital thermometers into the air box to see how cold the air is entering the throttle body. Anyone done this?
You can get them from halfords cant you? have a sensor and a wire that runs to the display that could be fitted inside...
I had my dials out the other day and when I put em back in the fuel gauge wont work now  Everything else if fine apart from that. They havent been dropped or anything and were fine before I took em out. Any ideas anyone? sticky needle maybe? or have I missed a connector? couldnt see...
You could even take the thermastat out completely. Heard of people doing that with 5 turbos. then just put it back in when weather gets colder. Might be a problem with the car though. MIne has NEVER got that hot even when thrashing it and being stuck in traffic on scorchin days.
Would it be worth changing the wishbones and driveshafts too? Is it a fairly easy swap? I can get the wishbones etc too if needed. Might make my 17s catch though if the wheels stick out more.
I know theres a few people who have had this done. Thinking of having one in mine. Has anyone told there insurance? Also any advice on how easy it is to do?
Your car looks mint by the way adi. Your car did well too, been looked after that car by Mat Brown. Like them rims too. Are they 17s? Wish id left my 17s on now. My car did sh*te with the 15s and now i got that hassle of changing em back tomorrow :(
Do you want a phase 2 wiper? I dunno whether...
Yeah mate thats my excuse too hehe. they are low. They are not made for clios either lol.
Also that bloke testing it didnt like me . thats a good one :D. I dont think them blokes knew that much though to be honest. Probably the saturday helpers hehe
They said mine was running a bit lean too. I thought it seemed as though it was running rich to me . I dont think them blokes knew that much to be honest. They were trying to get me to have an engine condition check on mine as they said it was down on power, and a couple of months ago...
