I steamed my mk1 and couldnt drive for 2 days as I flooded the damn thing! Dont wanna do the same with this one

Just wondering if anyone knows what is best to clean my engine and bay on my valver. Been advised not to steam clean it, so what is also the best method? Need to get it cleaned!!!!

just over a week ago now and what a car. Love it to bits and personally think I got a good'un. On a K plate, with 67k and papers to prove it!!!! Feel like a child again!
