About a month after i got my car i went out for a drive (which was last year now) and on the hottest day of the year too, came up to a corner in a country lane and put my foot on the brakes................nothing happened!, straight to the floor, after s**tting myself i took the car back to...
The reason they didn't sell was because to me at least it wasn't generally known there was dedicated CS time on the track, i knew there was track time but there was no way i'm taking my pride and joy out with some of those chavy lunatics, the general concensus is that it was a free for all out...
+1.......on me buying one and on most people on here being too tight :D
You could make the standard CS show plate then leave a blank section near the bottom (say 1/2 inch by 2 inch) for people to insert their name so it looked like it was made specific for that person :)
Hello mate, always nice to meet yorkshire people on here, don't forget that when you do get it to come along to some of our meets :)
Stick with it too, i'm sure you will find a good one in the end......
P.S don't listen to the missus......2.0L is the way to go ;)
If it's just a meet without a drive then probably a couple of hours max i would think, that's if we go across the road to the pub for cokes and peanuts ;)
Not like the ribblehead viaduct meet where we were out 7-8 hours :)
Just take what some people say with a pinch of salt sarah :)..........there aren't that many women on here so you're bound to lots of attention for a day or two......
Hello Sarah, welcome to CS :)
I'm sure there will be some meets close to you but failing that there are bigger annual meets like french car show and trax :)
Yeah i'm not fully sure if Laura is even going to Trax, i never asked her.
No Problem with that idea Mike, like you said Silverstone only has one route really coming from the Yorkshire area, J15a off the M1 then A43 straight to the circuit, we'll let everyone know beforehand that if they're not...
Sounds good James, i've probably ticked half of those off my list so far.......minus the tints, i'm not mad keen on them in the clio but i had them done in my Land rover discovery and they do make a huge difference, especially with 11 windows done!, the company i used was luckily two doors down...
I'll put my name down for colton Mike but if Laura isn't going then i'll just skip Colton and go straight to Woodall instead.
Colton: 4:45
Ste
Woodall J30-31: 5:30
mike
Trowell J25-26: 6:00
Leicester Forest East J21-22: 6:30
Turned out the engine management light came on because of the plugs Mike, the garage had used bosche super plus plugs in it and it did not like it one bit, i bit the bullet and changed them myself in the end for some proper NGK plugs(even did a nice little how to guide for others to do there own...
Yeah i would imagine that will be so for a few others too Chris....don't know why they changed the date so much from last year :(
FCS was on the last day of my 2 week holiday! and this will be on the last day of my one week August bank holiday too!......i wish they had both been on the first...
Would be even better if CS had a stand for this, last year i just saw a line of about 10 clio's on the infield.......i remember thinking that i wished i could have driven through the gates and avoided the the line of people trying to get in :)
Just wanted to see if there is any interest from you guys as to whether or not a convoy down to the renault world series on either the 18th/19th september is a possibility, it's basically straight down the M1 as per FCS convoy so we could pick people up from woodall, trowell and leicester forest...
Got mine now too so i'm going to put a thread up in the west yorkshire meet section to see if there is any interest in a convoy down from yorkshire on either the saturday or sunday :)
Yeah mate, me and chris from skipton set off from shipley macdonalds at 4am too, then we met up with Laura in leeds and then had four more stops on the way down to pick up another 15-20 clio's, was a hell of a convoy.....shame we got a little split up 3/4 of the way down :(
Right guys i put a guide in here so no newbies(like me) should have trouble changing plugs in a 172/182 again :)..........took me ages to write up :dead:
