Mate, why spend money on a turbo conversion (Lol) for an old Clio, when you have a lovely Astra convertible you could be spending the money on, making it even nicer.
As someone who is into cars as well, I genuinely can not understand that.
You want a turbo on it? Your looking at (pulling figures out my good guessing arse here) £3K to do a proper turbo conv. But you can't afford any of the previous mentioned cars to start on?
When are you gonna admit you are a cruiser?
Serious piece of advice. If your purpose is to sell it on, do you think it will be easier to sell a chavved up Halfords special looking old Clio, or a Valver/Williams replica, or even not a replica, just the wheels, colour coded, lowered etc?
OMFG, it's not jap style, it is chavvy b****cks, no one with half a brain cell would think that looks good, no matter what you do to it. I'm all for trying something new or different, but that is neither, it is cheap tacky rubbish and will look shite, no matter what else you do to it.
Aaahh...
Right, why are you doing things to an old Clio (really crap things I might add, by most people's standards) when you could be doing things to make your astra look amazing?
Its only the width of them. I think the standard ones on mine were 195's. I got some 205's and the stretch wasn't there and it handled much better.
Stick with the conti sports though, they are great tyres for that car.
