No one is comparing the 197 and V6 in car terms, just making the comparison that a mk2 V6 would now be cheaper to buy than a 197 (sans discount), which is pretty amazing.
I'll be the first to admit, I wanted a Trophy.....but I just couldn't find one in red.
;)
The only thing I want from that car is the seats (recaro or standard, both very nice), otherwise I'd buy a Trophy or V6. If it had to be a new car, Focus ST. Simple.
Exactly - diesels are great at lazy great lumps of torque, but in flat-out comparisons with higher bhp/ton petrols its just not going to help much (if they're both in the peak power band).
In December get yourself a V6 - best of both worlds ;)
Evo magazine timed the FF182 at 0-60 in 6.6 seconds and the 182Cup at 6.5 seconds - so might as well use these if we're not talking manufactures figures.
Your 120d:
Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 220 Weight without Driver (KG) : 1399 Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 159.78
Clio 182 (FF)...
Where is the cheapest place to buy brake discs for the V6? Renault mark the price up a lot, and I believe they're around £300 a disc.
Perhaps we could have some prices for OEM discs from GDI, Yozza, etc.?
Cheers,
Mike
I think they say that because most people drive along @ 50mph in 5th and not 3rd and don't want to always redline the car to go quickly.
Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. One needs two cars doesn't one!
Just setup my Netgear DG834G - so simple to configure (can tell they're not owned by Cisco ;)) and looks the nuts; like something Apple would produce (except its actually useful in the real-world).
Netgear 834G turned up this morning - 18 hours to arrive via Dabs, now that's good service.
Noticed the box mentions ADSL2 - will it handle it without any extras?
