Huh.... na dont think so... If I was driving the CTR you would not beat me in a 172... trust me.... maybe some dick who loves his car so much he dont push it.. but im a racer... not a dick... lol
Yup.... Errr normal 172 has no chance to keep up with it.... only the cup can... I prob would get a second hand one, 2 years old 12900 with air con....
I like hard suspension..... Its got electric windows and mirrors, cd player... lights, window wipers.... what more u want? I like the looks, love the engine.... thought it handled....
I cant be bothered to buy it.... Whats it say?
Thing is reviews I read say the clio is unrefined with a poor driving posision.
They say the Mini Cooper wins hands down.......
They say the Type R handles superb, a little twichy under heavy braking and makes birds wet.
Oh dear... One minute people on here say clios are for cornering.... The next you say lets race in a straight line.... Anyway I dont really care what people do in their cars, but im allowed to express my opinions thats the idea of a forum. You lot do not say much for a CTR which is going to be...
Ben its not like your going to stop in the middle of the motorway and do a few hand brakes is it...... Not crisisim its just I dont see the point in a flat out race coz itsjust the car with the highest top end that will win... no driver skill what so ever...
Camber is where they adjust the wheel angle that it sits on the road.... by lowering your car your camber will be out because the suspension is in a lower position than it was designed to be in..... you would need a camber correction kit to be able to adjust this... I think k-tec was working on one.
I agree.... Why would you want to race in a straight line for 2 miles... Its not a race.... And donkey can press the gas to the floor. Plan some country roads and learn them during the day then race during the night!! Got to have over taking places though
lol.... just weld a pole in there.... besides if you lower anymore than 40mm you need to get your camber sorted out so 100 mm..... your only have the edge of the tyres touching the road
Yup me to... If I was keeping my car for longer I would have done the suspension but im not so i will put the 200 quid in a savings account ready for my CTR
Hmmmm maybe.... But I know when I buy cars if they have an exhaust, suspension induction etc I know they have been thrashed..... So I go for standard cars....
Ok goto <A target=_blank href= "http://www.spax.co.ukwww.spax.co.uk they now also do a 60mm PSX kit which is shortened adjustable shocks and matched springs.....
I dont have my car lowered im too gay... I dont want to hamper the resell value and i want to get rid of it.......
Its quite...
SPAX SPAX SPAX SPAX SPAX SPAX SPAX SPAX SPAX SPAX!
I know someone who has just got some on his focus and he is well happy with them.... It not corners like its on rails... Hardly leans!
Dont listen to them mate.... 40mm is fine.... Theirs handle like a pongo stick.... You should have listened to me though and got shortened shocks to match your springs
You can! I learn all my cars by pushing, pushing, pushing till I know that was over the limit of handling... When i have to correct the car with the wheel to keep it pointing the right direction(only minor corrections) So till you get the CTR to that level you cant compair.... I have been in...
No Rob that was the first time you had driven one.... Drive one for a few weeks..... get used to the car rather than looking for feedback.. Then I bet your times will be quicker!
