    Sloppy gear lever

Have you tried moving the engine around? If the engine is too far forward or back (can't remember) in the engine bay it can cause gearstick issues. IIRC, it involves supporting the engine on a jack then loosening the mounts. You should be able to push the engine a bit further back or pull it...

    Sloppy gear lever

Poly bush the dogbone mount. Uprated engine mounts may also make a difference too. Also, how long since the gearbox oil was changed? And what sort does it have in it?

    k-tec itbs?

They could be made to work yes. Someone on here did it not long ago (although not K-Tec ITB's, but I'd imagine the theory's the same). Up until recently everyone who went down that route had an aftermarket ECU, but it seems it's not actually necessary.

    Anyone modified their cup holder?

I did... kinda. I took one of the cup holder spaces up with a boost controller. Now it only holds one cup, but at least it doesn't fall over anymore. So in short, fill one of the cup holders up with something and it prevents whatever's in the other one falling over.

    windscreen wash reservoir somehow broke???

The trick is to push down on the wiper arms as you do it. They're sprung so once you've undone the bolt they sit at a funny angle on the spline. Pressing down on them straightens them up which makes them easy to pull off.

    windscreen wash reservoir somehow broke???

I found mine was leaking after I changed the washer motors. It was down to the rubber seals for the motors in the end. It might be that the rubber seal that sits around the motor has cracked / moved / slipped off like mine had. The motors don't fit snugly into the holes in the reservoir unless...

Oh no! What have I done!!!!! Greetings from Cardiff, South Wales

LOL @ the arsey comments. It cost next to nothing, he's already said he's going to turn it into a track car, spend money on it etc... I don't see that it matters how bad it looks or what state the interior is in. If it's going to be a track car it'll all be going anyway. As someone said, it's...

BT 5 static IP's - pain in the ass.

No, because the switch would be hanging off the inside interface of the firewall. In that scenario (above), you'd enable NAT on the firewall and use private address space off the internal interface (that's 10.x.x.x, 172.16.x.x, 192.168.x.x etc to you). The switch wouldn't have a public IP...

BT 5 static IP's - pain in the ass.

Can't you just disable NAT without putting it into bridge mode? You still want it to be routing for my suggestion to work. So .254 is the default gateway that gets assigned on the WAN interface of the router, making your entire IP range 217.40.130.248 - 217.40.130.255. Obviously .248 is the...

BT 5 static IP's - pain in the ass.

Simple way would be to turn off NAT on the router, then give the WAN interface and the internal interface one IP address from the range each. Obviously don't use the network or broadcast addresses, but I'm assuming you already knew that? Then give the external interface of the firewall another...

How accurate is the computer on 1*2's ?

The way to look at it is that the computer is fairly accurate, but is only accurate at the point in time you actually look at it. The figures change quite a lot as your driving style and conditions change. This is because it takes average readings. Say you do 200 miles and use 5 gallons of fuel...

    Identify a HDD Connection remotely

If you've got Dell Server Administrator installed on the machine, fire it up and find out the HDD serial number. You should be able to use that to find out exactly what make, model and version it is on the manufacturer / Dell website. If not, you could always give Dell a call - they're usually...

    Charged Cup Anyone?

Why do you think the drive is dull? What's dull about them? It's much less dull than driving a standard 1*2 and they aren't exactly mind numbing in the first place (IMO of course - each to their own). Going back to what I said up there ^ though, I don't think the reliability is the reason...

    Charged Cup Anyone?

Yeah. The trip computer doesn't work anymore so you have to rely on the old fashioned needle instead. Apparently the Gen90 ECU is capable of controlling the standard trip computer but as of yet it hasn't been made to work. I've got the Omex 600 ECU so mine will never work regardless. Yes it's...

    Charged Cup Anyone?

If it's the stage 2 setup it'll have the Helix paddle clutch, which is more than capable of handling that much power / torque. It's a bit jerky when you first drive the car and it's very heavy but it doesn't take long to get used to. Drivetrain problems? Like what? Gearbox can handle the...

    Charged Cup Anyone?

It'll be making about 280ish. Still VERY quick. So quick in fact, that most people refuse to believe what they can keep up with. I don't get why people sell them straight after charging them though? I drive mine everywhere, day in day out and it's fine. I must have done over 10,000 miles since...
