No rolling road is really that accurate. However, getting a group of cars like that together gives a good comparison-that is ofcourse hoping its as accurate/innaccurate for 1 as it is for all of them!
Great to see such a good show from the Williams owners.

My take on it is as follows (very similar to a post by daz, who summed it up nicely)
All the Williams are great cars. If you want a fine hot hatch, then any Williams fits the bill. If however, you are like me and like numbered cars (like LCs, Scoob RB5s, etc) then its obvious that an...

Were I to want to spend 15k on a car, then I wouldnt get a CTR.
However, were I to have 15k to spend on a new car, and it HAD to be new, then it would be a CTR.
I actually rather like them.

My christmas do went well by all accounts, but I did not go as I dont really like 90% of the people (women) I work with. All a bit gas baggy for my liking.
I saw Top Gear - I think the 172 didnt feature as its a fair bit cheaper than much of that lot - and a size smaller. In fact, its hard...

Thats a good point Matt. I beleive the later 16v sumps were the same size as the Williams? What their capacity I dont know - but a litre or so more is a hefty increase. Ive changed the oil in the Williams several times and not put more than 5 litres in.

I have done millions of changes on the 16v engines and only ever put in about 4-4.5 litres. The rated capacity is 4.7 litres I think, but you never get it all out anyway.
Sounds alot thats all.
