I take it you are looking to run one amp for components and one for sub? For this you will need a head unit with at least 2 preouts, you can use one and y leads but you could not fade or change the balanceof your speakers you will also need 4 guage wiring, fused distribution block etc fot...

This happened to me at crail at the start of the year However I had the keys in the ignition with the engine running!! Had to take out one of the back sie windowns then crawl in to a chorus of cheering people and others taking photos Funny now but a b**ch at the time
