phone is running latest firmware... have restarted it... and am on a mac?

Had the first phone working fine... it had a imperfection on th back so got it replaced... now when i try to set up the new phone with remote... the 4 digit code box wont appear in the devices menu so i can't plug it in... any ideas? Tried restarting both itunes and phone :(

wow, turned wifi and 3g off earlier and fook me its made a difference... listened to ipod on the hour long journey home... been texting and made 3 15min calls and the batt is still completely full! ok to some this may not sound great lol, but yesterday i just had to look at it and it went down lol
