    ‘Bonnie Blue’ The RB 182

That looks nice, but will probably melt or worse, set on fire. Designed for door trims. I must have had 3 sets of original exhaust trims over 7 years of ownership. My biggest issue is the PMS exhaust tips expand, a lot, and melt them. It’s partly why I opted for 3” rolled tips over the 3.5”...

    PS5 205/45/R16

Those will be great. Just replaced all mine with PS3, but I’ll definitely be going down this route when the time comes.

Spun the rear subframe bolts, advice needed

During my resto, the rear nearside bolt on my subframe was so badly mangled, I ended up taking the engine out - well that was my excuse anyway. It gave me better access. You should be able to grind the head off the rear bolts from underneath. The fronts are inside the subframes iirc so more...

Exhaust bumper trim - removal from a 182

I always fancied getting new ones for mine, but the only option was Carbon types and they're a fortune. If you can't rescue yours, this is worth doing and is very cheap. This is a close-up but anybody who walks up to the car and looks around it still hasn't noticed they're not original trims...

HELP: Removed my 182 Gearbox, more than Thrust Bearing Broken

As above, looks spot on. Nice and clean under there 👌

I just love the wheels on this little car

    Gripper Differentials.

I used to go back and forth to my local circuit in my 182 which had a Gripper fitted by Mark. It’s a 60 mile journey there and back. They’re fine but just a bit too mechanical (noisy) for everyday use. And as Mark says, they need servicing. LSD for road use 💯

Restoring Little Bluey - my 182 FF ClioSport in Racing Blue

It’s amazing how many little bits need replacing. I’ve been buying old NLA parts that are nigh on impossible to find now and restoring them, ready to fit.

Restoring Little Bluey - my 182 FF ClioSport in Racing Blue

Took her out for a blast to the garden centre after a month sat idle - fell back in love pretty sharpish.

    “Charlotte” The 182 FF

Looking more like a track car these days. Headlamp blanks look ace. Are you running valve marker stickers on your wheels?

Engine Noise - PAS, Aux Belt?

It depends how far you want to go. I assume you’re changing the PAS pump? When are the timing belts due? PAS is a strange one as they generally go gradually over time. Worth changing with a decent refurbished one. There’s a company on eBay that does an exchange. I’d do the following...

    Fuel brether pipe

I could be wrong but i'm sure it's part of the fuel filler pipe itself. Number 4 in this shot.

    PMS cambelt protection plate

I never knew such a thing existed until now, but I can see how it would be a good idea on a track/race car.

    check Injection warning

It’s helped me sort a few issues on my 182 — resetting the steering angle sensor, clearing fault codes, and even tracking down some dodgy wiring when the car suddenly refused to start. That said, it’s not perfect. If you’re not comfortable reading schematics or don’t know your way around...

Rear ended - Is this a write off? Educated guesses please

This is what’s under there. It’s probably just pushed the bumper out from where I’ve drawn the circle. 20 minute job and a handful of rusty screws to whip the bumper off and check. It’ll probably spring back into shape once the stress has been taken off.

Insurance companies, who do you use?

Just replaced my company car with the same model. Same insurance provider. No changes in circumstances. Price went from £940, to £370. 6 months in between quotes. Makes my head wobble.

    182 tyre options

The Avons are decent tyres. Ran them on my 182 but not a patch on PS3. But it really comes down to how good your set up is and how worn your cars suspension components are. These are really old cars now. 195 will be more sympathetic than 205s if everything isn’t as good as it could be. 205...

    New, Fully Electric Renault 5

It’s a great looking car. When will we see these on UK roads? It has to be the longest car launch ever.
