knackered in laymans terms :-P on the Q of gearboxes...i wanted to get 5th gear changed so that it doesnt rev so high on the motorway, and to get better fuel economy out of it on those long trips, it gets a bit annoying having it sit at 4.5k all the way! That might just be me doing 90 tho.....

i get it too on my Mk1, nearly every time i get out. I think its due to wearing rubber soled trainers etc etc. I just accept it and touch the metal most of the time. Its just due to the static build up while you are driving due to movemnet on the seats/pedals etc etc. Pain in the arse but not...

i got a rear tyre fitted pretty quick from there, but i think that doesnt count as halfords as it was the AA section!
