I'd personally pop to b&q, buy a fine rope, some screws, some raw plugs and a bracket mounted pulley, make sure you pay the 5p for a bag (don't be cheap).
Go home, empty the bag of its contents, put all three consoles in the bag.
Get a drill, drill four holes in the ceiling to mout the pulley...
Do the f**king pictures Luke, this thread needs at least a few decent pictures of the thing!
Meet up Sunday somewhere middle ground for a few soft top pics if it's sunny Mike?
Re: E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project *Seat Pics #658*
It seems to be a trait with me and photographing seats, I always make them look really bad!
They're actually very tight, and there are methods to tighten them up further that have been done by others members on the zed forums so I may have...
Can't watch the video just yet, but have you checked the oil level?? These can make a right racket if it gets low.
If it is the waterpump its nice and easy indeed and will be a plus point come selling!
Re: E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project *Seat Pics #658*
You know I'd have invited you.
Found it yes, ordered polybush replacement. RTAB's it was.
It's a git to get the old ones out though, new ones go in easy.
Get a photo of what you're talking about, I'm sure we'll have plenty of suggestions, some you may want to do pre-paint.
Without seeing it, could you not weld a shallow nut to it then use a small bolt?
Great work btw, probably my new favourite thread on here :)
I love how even before I opened this thread I knew it'd be fake this, fake that.
Get something that looks nice, it's not a rally car, you don't need titanium wheels forged in the fires of Mt. Doom.
Looking lovely RDR, but your photos are appalling. I'd have taken some for you gladly but I was busy building a stud wall :banghead:
Gimmie a shout next time and I'll definitely be there.
How long did it all take you out of curiosity?
Re: E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project *Seat Pics #658*
It sure does, the alternative is to get yourself one of these:

Re: E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project *Seat Pics #658*
Cheers Sam, if I'm honest it looks better than I was expecting, but that's purely because I thought they seats were tan, not some specialist unique BM colour. They're far more burgundy than anything else.
I love drop top life, like...
The fuel line.. Next to nothing I'd imagine, off of any of the 9,000 ph1's that are being broken at the moment. Or as Mike says, brand new.
Good to see it's back on the road.
Re: E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project *Seat Pics #658*
Not sure yet. Swing one way, it'll knock, then the other, it'll knock, only alternately (so two right swerves won't get two knocks), so I hope it's a bolt worked loose on the suspension when it went in for the bearing etc a while back.
Feel free...
Re: E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project *Seat Pics #658*
Thanks chaps, you both really need to see them in the flesh.
Wheels and spacers are my next focus, be as the summer comes in a little though.
First I need to get it home and find this rear knock. FFSnake.
Nice write up (finally). Spacers look superb, I know what I'll be investing in next :D
Love the cream leather with the green in yours. Inside is proper gentleman's spec.
I don't think those fogs are beyond repair, take them out, take them right apart, I reckon something like cilit bang could...
Re: E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project **SEATS FITTED (pics)**
Cheers mate, no none at all.
You have two choices when fitting facelift seats to a non facelift.. either fit an occupancy sensor bypass or fit a new occupancy sensor, but this means taking the seats apart.
I've gone for the bypass...
Re: E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project **SEATS FITTED (pics)**
Glad you all love them as much as I do. Best purchase ever!!!!
Colour looks immense in the flesh, whoever see's it will agree.
It's just bad lighting ginger, I promise. Whole side of the car was repainted so it's not just one panel...
