I had sportlines on my Kia GT and they were a bit bouncy but great at Cadwell and Croft. Also had some Pro-kit on my Honda Civic and they were really comfortable and good on the road. The latter are a good balance between comfort/handling. They’re good on the RB, just not as good as the...
I had Cooksports on my BG 182 and found them too crashy. Fortunately I still had the original CUP springs, so refurbished those and the car drives lovely again.
My RB has Eibach Pro-kit springs and they’re very close to factory. They don’t ride the odd bump-in-the-road as well as the CUP...
Honestly, i wouldn't bother putting the latest OS on older machines, it'll just slow your computer down.
I've been into Macs since 1998 when i purchased a G3 Bondi-Blue iMac desktop (still have them all boxed up at home).
Just upgrade a couple of OS at a time, then buy a new machine and put...
As in nuts towards steering rack - both sides. It's a moot point but it's how they'd come from the factory. I've built a 182 racecar and restored 2 road going 182's and i've found if these small details have been overlooked, it's a good sign everything else needs checking and correcting haha...
It must have been in tight for it to snap (180Nm for reference).😮
Without sounding pedantic, the bolts would go back in L-R for NSF and R-L for OSF. 😉 Good luck with the build 😀
The market is nuts. I bought my RB last year for £5,400. Began restoring it and during the build a genuine buyer following the progress offered me £7,500. It’s not for sale though. 2 months on the buyer still hadn’t found one he liked so increased his offer to £9,000. I was so tempted but I...
I ordered some injectors off them years ago. Took nearly a month. First and last thing i've ever ordered off them.
ADDED - would you not be able to get a deal out of your local dealership - with you being in the trade? I can get up to 25% off stuff but generally no less than 10% which makes...
I wouldn’t even mention it, paintwork is either good or it’s not. My RB resto is going in for corrective work which was done in a ‘spray booth’. You’d think that was done in the Gobi desert with Halfords spray cans. It has more runs than Mo Farah.
Maybe put Sport and 182 in the title and correct the engine size too, as it indicates it’s a 1.0 litre. I stumbled across it looking for bits and pieces. So might help get more views. Looks a nice car 👍
Just a lovely project build. Proper commitment.
I'm sure many Clio Sports owners will be thinking they wished they had the skills or facilities to do this, but it's definitely doable on a driveway if it's done in sections.
Sadly we're going to see a lot of these cars taken off the road in...
I’ve got a lovely restored BG you can have for say…..8,650?🤑😂
Gutted for you but if they pay out that’s one hell of a result. At least you’re more knowledgeable about Clio’s now and have an idea what to look for. Providing you go for another one of course.
They’ve been going for daft money at the start of this year. Seen them sell anywhere between 3 to 5.5k. A lad on here paid the latter for one recently (and it turned out to be a turd).
I think prices in general are cooling a little but if I were to hazard a guess I’d go for 4K and see what...
New rewebbed belts were doing my head in so set about trying to clean my old ones.
It’s not that I don’t like the quality of the new ones, it’s just that they remind me of Rylan Clark’s teeth 😂 they’re that white.
Bought some Vanish, filled a large bucket with hot water and soaked them for a...
A bit of love hate going on with the belts. Originals aren’t too bad so I’m going to soak those and see if they clean up. I suppose they match the piping on my car mats 😂
I have written to their head office and sent video evidence, proof of recovery etc. I’ll let them decide what to do.
The manager’s a proper clever arse. I wouldn’t care he asked why i didn’t do the swap where I work and I explained the service manager was too scared to damage my newly refurbed...
Small updates today. Firstly the paintwork isn’t happening for a few months now due to our bodyshop having too much on.
Belts arrived back from Kolour Koncept. Only took a week from sending off to getting back. They’re not great at replying to Facebook messages but I can’t fault the workmanship...
This is all you need. https://www.toolstation.com/led-ip65-flexible-strip-light/p43662
Just remove old led's, diodes, capacitors from circuit board, then stick this part on top of that. Use a block connector (halfords) to connect the wires and that's it.
Fixed all mine that way, spot on.
I agree 4k all day long as it looks unmolested, not many aren't these days.
Probably won't appeal to a lot of buyers on marketplace etc...who want ow't for now't, lowered springs, seats out (twack/road car) and would probably ruin it anyway. But there's definately a buyer out there (possibly on...
