Why would you even think Lunner was calling you?
You hadnt even said anything.
I cant stand these fake 2.0 16v cars. People work hard to save and afford a 172. Then some joker comes along and sticks some 2.0 16v badges (often aquired through theft) on their 1.2 and thinks it makes...
I used bog standard bolts on my old Clio when I fitted aftermarket alloys.
Always hand tightened as tight as I could pretty much.
Never experienced any chewing of the alloys.
And certainly no wheel ever fell off.

Squealing brakes are usually fixed by taking the pads out and copper greasing the backs of the pads (non friction side).
Everytime Ive had squealing brakes on any of my cars, its always sorted it.
As it is now:

Very quick photoshop, lowered about 60mm probably a bit more.

Very nice mate.
Notice you have a VTS too. Im after a silver 172 mk2 soon currently driving a gold VTS.
How does it compare? Speed/cornering/mpg?
Cheers.
1. Static electricity. Try pressing your leg against the sill as youre getting out. If you dont and touch your hand on the door. BANG! Ive actually seen a flash doing that.
2. Water gets inside door and takes ages to dry out after washing. I never roll windows down until the next day. Daft...
No such thing as taking them off with care. What they do is use a screw driver to take the badge off with care ie not snap it, but no care is shown to the metal of the car. My vts rear quarter is scratched on both sides.
At least the 2.0 16v badges dont cause the metal to get scratched as easy.
Nice. How long you expect to keep those VVT-i badges?
The one thing that worries about my eventual 172 purchase will be an almost guaranteed 2.016v & sport badge theft.
Ive had my 16v badges knicked off my VTS twice.
Bit weird looking.
Looks like it was strecthed sideways due to the odd light & grille set up.
Dont like it but I actually didnt like the mk2 when it came out but love it now.
I was driving behind two police horses in my area recently. It was surreal.
Never see even a Bobby yet there was two on horseback with flashing lights on their jackets (it was dark).
Anyway, they both drop their bait all over the road within about 2 seconds of each other.
Loads of it...
I got cheap Mintex pads from a local shop for £25 for a pair of fronts for my VTS.
I had had Greenstuff pads on for 6 months and wasnt happy with them. Sometimes I felt like the car wasnt going to stop.
Fitted new Mintex pads and once bedded in, they stop excellent. Much better just give off...
Spooky as!!
I was just coming into Spotted to post a Bright blue Clio with roll cage thread.
Take it that was you!
Looked mint dude.
Turned my head to get the reg but couldnt see, spotted the cage.
Really nice motor.
