its a typical renault mate, i have owned mine for six months an only has 26k on the clock, i have had the belts and tensioners changed, a new alternator, new rear discs and pads, needs two new front springs and a new coil pack, a sensor that goes behind the brake pedal, and a new exhaust system...

nearly bought one of these as they was one group cheaper than the clios, but i thought what the heck go for a clio 182 lol, nice motors, there disguised as an old mans car but there prtty nippy, from the specs that ive read, anyway nice motor fella

replace the coil pack and get yourself 4 new sparks, and your be fine, i have had similar problems in the past, but easily sorted and not to expensive either, but it is a pain, all renaults eat coil packs and spark plugs, thats there speciality lol common fault

im so jealous right now, always loved the minis, i hope it all plans out well for ya, apart from the roll cage scratching ya paint work, but hey it will look stunning when its done, an i bet it will be spine tingling when you floor it, nice :)

dont always go by them, me mother had her volvo diagnosed and they came back with a 2000 pound bill, but when we priced the things that actually needed doing it came to about 600 quid. so i suppose it would be better to get a second opinion. anyway i wish u all the best fella,

mines on the drivvers side, and only happens when i full lock to the right. not too sure, keep us updated on your news and how you get on, because i might be experiencing the same problem in the future and i hope it aint the steering rack.
