driving my car about a month ago, on popped the electrical and emissions light, car lost alot of power and i struggled home, left it for a few hours and went back out driving fine for about 5 mins came to the bottom of a hill it stalled and wouldn't start on again rolled to clear the junction...
buy a spare set IMO, i have a set painted but crashed my car a few days after they were done so not got round to putting them on, would advise leaving the handles a while untill the paint properly cures, as excessive "fingering" on fresh paint may leave marks in the early stages.
with the money you would probably spend on this and selling your "old" car you could maybe just buy a newer one???
recently F**cked my front end and the estimate is £3000 so....... lol
well... lol
foned the garage on tuesday and asked for the estimate, dude said he didn't have that information infront of him (lazy c*nt) so i foned my insurance for the estimate and it apparently is a shocking £3000 BUT repairs will go ahead as its £500 under the value of the car, they said...
i'm with bell and pay monthy but they added on like £130 credit charge, C**TS, would agree with the above, i lowered mine by approx £150 for adding my dad on as anamed driver
i personally used high build and have no problems YET, heard a few diff people using plastic primer then high build but best advice from my mistakes would be to really take your time and give the primer time to soak in for a few days or so
1500 about right IMO, i'am paying 1700 + 850 excess for my 1.2 16v thats me 19 y.o with lisence 1 year but no NCB. insurers are dirty stinking money grabbing C**TS, and be prepared if you have an accident (touch wood) you'll soon find yourself out of pocket when these C**TS are supposed to help...
still waiting mate, theres a chance it could be a 50/50 blame claim! which i think could save it, garage is closed until tuesday, really pissing me off as if it does get wrote off basically i'am fu*cked i guess £2000 in debt that i personally would like cleared by october this year so i can get...
i saw it to be my fault at the time but quickly retracted it due to new evidence, if i can swing blame BRILLIANT!! if its a 50/50 still quite good rather than full responsibilty and possibly a better chance of my car not getting wrote off, my word v his no witness in sight,
recieved this statement from my insurer,
"Our view is the drivers involved may have to share responsibility for the accident but we will not offer or accept any offers on liability without advising you first."
just wondering what happens in this case, preferebly answers from people who have...
