Have you got a pic of yours from the side dan? Just so I can compare it if possible

They’re very nice cars, reliable too. Have you done much to it? I’ve had an inspection 2 and wheel alignment done at an Indy. Weighted gearknob and cdv too. Will also be doing gearbox oil. Not sure if you have any issues but not sure if ours is lowered. It does feel very low at the front.

    R.S. 18 future classic?

Sadly not. Has to be a bit more special than what’s offered. Something genuinely different and unique always works. E46 CSL: for obvious reasons V6 clio: wild, very different Trophy: it’s in a lower class of ‘sought after’ and more expensive though but does have a few bits that make it a bit...

    Nissan juke oil filter

You could remove your old one, stick it in a plastic bag and take it along to compare?

    Absolute nutters!

A lot of it is just them under steering towards the grass lol

    Cookie's 2009 Honda Civic Type R GT

The replies on the first page sum up everything lol. ‘Prepare for problems’ etc I really like them though

    Subframe bolts

Just done a control arm on an old avensis. Bloody hell. May aswell just grind everything to s**t. Old bolts are the worst! Good luck mate

I found it confusing aswell @Rojer. A hpi check will show you si or not. The n52 only seems to have the silver coloured engine cover in 2006. After that it’s a black cover

Safest way to get car high with axel stands

Make sure you’re on flat ground. If you don’t need the wheels off then I’d recommend car ramps, breeze blocks etc. Something that you can put under the wheels after lifting it. Will also be safer than axle stands.

How do I know if my car is a 172 or 182?

There ya go. The boot floor thing looks like a bodge anyway

How do I know if my car is a 172 or 182?

I wouldn’t say the boot floor looked ‘factory’ from the factory lol

How do I know if my car is a 172 or 182?

I don’t see why your average punter would bodge up the boot floor when there are work around exhausts that make it look like a 182. Just seems a bit strange

How do I know if my car is a 172 or 182?

Text the registration to 78111 and it runs a a hpi check. It’s about £3 I think

How do I know if my car is a 172 or 182?

Flat boot Twin exhaust Manifold Hpi check - this will tell you. Plus did the 182 not start in 2004?

Want a new car. Stay with clio? Or step to a megane?

I had a brand new meg and it was s**t on fuel. After about 5-10k miles it got much better. In the end I was averaging 35mpg which isn’t terrible. Not as good as the Clio but it is more powerful and the low down punch is addictive

Want a new car. Stay with clio? Or step to a megane?

Modifying is much easier as it’s a turbo unit. As an all round package it’s hard to beat a 250. As above, you can see the renaultsport similarities in both

Want a new car. Stay with clio? Or step to a megane?

I’ve had 172, 172 cup, 182, 182 trophy and a Meg 275. All great in they’re own way. The Megane was easily the most refined and was rapid. Different aspiration made it feel more punchy. The clios much more raw, less refined, frantic at speed. It depends what you’re after tbh. If you want more...

    Ph2 Trophy seats

They’re pretty much perfect for what you need. Very middle of the road seat unless you want something more hardcore

    Z4 3.0

Lovely. Real shame it’s not got heated seats, most seem to. I’m on the lookout for one for the other half and it has to be the 3.0, nothing else makes sense unless you push the boat way out for the z4m

    TWITCH - Anybody else stream?

It’s a strange thing (watchin streamers) when you think about it but actually rather good. Anyone that hasn’t done it can’t really comment tbh. I’d much rather watch a hilarious steamer playing my favourite game than sit and watch shite on tv that’s been repeated for the 400th time.
