    Renault's new fixed price servicing.

Most of "us" already charge around £50 for a set of NGK PFR6E10's fitted mate and Renault are £399 for a timing belt change now. I've always been £380 (£280 for a Cup) so I'm not worried as most enthusiasts wouldn't trust the main dealer anyway. Its too little too late from them if you ask me...

Intermittent starting problem + serv light on + oil pressure warning

Oil level will be a faulty oil level sender or its associated wiring... will also be the cause of the oil light and SERV light. It shouldn't be the cause of the poor start though so would recommend you get it plugged in. Mick

    wheels buckled

If you can get them to me Tony I'll put them thru his shop for you at cost. As long as the rim isn't split/cracked/fucked he can get it about bang on. He's done a few repairs for me now and they're very good especially for the cash. Mick Sent from my BlackBerry 9900 using Tapatalk

    woohoo finally upgraded

If he is seriously considering anything like that i'd suggest selling the Clio and using the cash along with the money he'd spend doing that to buy an R26 and go from there. Far superior car in almost every way as standard with more tuning scope for less.

    woohoo finally upgraded

Did this come from the Auto-Trader in need of a cylinder head rebuild (timing belt failure)? The registration looks familiar and was in Derby just before Christmas? Not a fan of the wheels but thats personal taste... nice sport though. Mick

Rear brake piston wont go in far enough

Pop the dust seal, apply WD40, go again. Not wanting to state the obvious but some people fail to get this right... ... the rear pads have a locating boss on the back of it which needs to sit in the grove of the piston. If it doesnt the pad isn't sat correctly and so sticks out further. Be...

    Anti freeze help!

Renault recommend a Glycol based anti-freeze. "Type-D" is merely the mix specification which states it protects between -20 and -23Degrees and is not a brand or product name. It comes in various colours also but its not mega important only stipulating the suggested time period it should be left...
