    06 Clio 1.2 - Engine won't stop!

Is it a Clio II or a Clio III? I suspect a UCH fault. Bring it to me, i'll touch it.

    wheels buckled

Not always the cheapest option. I have a precision engineer next to me who does these for £15 a wheel and promises near perfect unless the rim is broken.

    wheels buckled

Balancing out will still produce a wobble on the wheel in cornering and under braking if its bent up pretty bad. Best off repairing or replacing. Mick

My Ph2 1.2 sport has had it :(

LoLz @ that price... and Renault UK wonder why the dealer network is failing. I'd want proof myself before spending a wedge like that as the ECM has absolutely no control over the hazzard lights or sirens/horns. Possibly a UCH fault but i'd send it to someone thats actually interested in fixing...

    182 cant get in!!!HELP!!!

I set mine off at Dave Walkers when it was being mapped and it wouldn't shut up no matter what i did. Two 13mm bolts off, sniped the sounder and dropped it in a bucket of water... silence!

Help with getting a new 182 key!

The way the keyfobs work is they are "encoded" with a 12 character alpha-numeric "key" which is specific to each vehicle and this "key" can only be written or assigned into the fobs memory once which is why a keyfob that has previously been assigned to another vehicle cannot be re-allocated or...

    Engine 'Hunting' - Poor Idle

Not really, it depends on how fouled up the throttle body is as it effects the air flow thru the plate by blocking it which results in the actuated body having to advance further to stabalise the idle speed... this results in a rough idle.

Help with getting a new 182 key!

I take it back, keys on vehicles this age aren't covered by the new key-set discount... it applies to VIN coded keys/cards only (ghey). To *supply* a new key fob blank for a 172/182 will be £72.58 +vat then, if you want the key blade adding thats another £13.95 +vat (it takes 2-3 days for...

Help with getting a new 182 key!

I can code keys yes but you need to check your service book for the Quality Certificate as i need the 12digit Supp. Key No. which if you don't have i will have to get it from Renault.net which will cost £25 extra. Mick

Help with getting a new 182 key!

Key prices are about to go up in the air as new part numbers are appearing for key "kits" containing two keys for the price of one. Key fobs are normally around the £90 mark then another £40 for coding... retail that is but i may be able to get them a bit cheaper but it still needs coding. Mick

    Cambelt change

its the same job really except the front end doesnt need to come off and the aux. belt takes 10mins to swap... still a decent size task though and not 10mins

    Cambelt change

We charge £380 fully inclussive; thats timing belt kit, aux-belt kit, cam seals x4 (front and rear) and all fixings, service book stamped and 12months parts and labour warranty. If you want the waterpump doing its an extra £120 and includes for a new thermostat and type-D coolant. Mick

    2002 1.4 16v poor starting

From what you've said above its most likely the ECM ramping up the fuelling for cold start enrichment... and its throwing too much in due to an erroneous signal. Possibly due to a faulty CTS or Ho2 (my money is on CTS though). As recommended above already have it checked out properly not "code...

    Engine 'Hunting' - Poor Idle

Clean the throttle body and if that doesn't cure it check out the live data values on the CTS and H02 sensors... you'll need diagnostics for that though. Mick

Ph1 172 Irratic Immobiliser problem - Changed Key Battery - Any help appreciated

Ideally it needs CLIP'n to see what the key states are when this happens as it could be a multi-timer fault or it could be the keys or the decoder/associated wiring. Mick

What oil would be best for me ??? Also spark plug's ??? :)

Use the best quality oil filter you can and a good quality 10w/40 semi-synthetic oil. You don't have to use a full on racing oil in your cars as it will make no difference buddy. Same goes for Halfords and other autofactors - don't allow them to sell you anything thats over priced as an own...
