Ive recently got quoted £30+VAT a corner for my F1's to be refurbed by M-tech in Hastings. seems a prety fair price for a full sand blast, repair if needed, then finished in whatever colour you want.
Thanks for the above Chip. I guess it really comes down to how the car is being used then, tbh i'd probably get really bored of a long 5th, just a shame you cant have the best of both worlds and have all the normal 5 gears then a 6th for the long final gear that never really gets used unless on...
No presents as of yet? the tapes above worry me slightly Mark :rasp:
GAAAYYYYYYY!
Anyway, car is coming along nicely, plans for brakes etc are good. got much else you want to do with it after or just keep it running sweet?
I know of one very good reason to want a 6th gear!... While on the way to work on dual carriage ways or motor ways sitting at 60 or 70 the car seems far to high up the revs and would be lovely to have a 'motorway gear'
I know that 3/4 plates and the potential for fines has been covered
My question is what do people think of them on the ph1. I like them on the ph2 but not so sure on the ph1 due to the recess being larger
So what's the general concensus on a front 3/4 plate on the ph1?
Mine are terrible so going to get some 'clean' plates but just not sure on the front
Pics would be useful ;-)
What most tend to do is go for a ph1 or v6 box with upgraded filter, best of all worlds i think. shame though because its pushing the price up for people with ph1's who want to go back to an original airbox :(
if yours is a Ph2 just get the Xeonon lights from a 1*2 like above but if its a Ph1 then make sure you have the projector headlights from the higher models and get a HID kit
Yeah thats why im letting you off ;)
Looks very good dude, like i say im actually liking it alot and that wrap looks spot on
Oki doki, i may have to find some new bullets then as one of mine is missing a clip :(
If i were you i'd go plusnet, just purely for the customer service side of things..
Checked mine last night (BT infinity) 71mb/s down and 19mb/s up.
Pretty happy with that and BT but thats because ive never had to deal with their customer service, well not from a home users point of view anyway.
I was affraid that too much carbon on this car would look a bit..... well.... g@sh tbh, but im really liking the contrast Tyler. Good job :)
I may be looking for some carbon bullets in the future once ive had a few bits sprayed on the car. Is the price based on exchange or a new set supplied?
Has anyone actually tested the 4 different senarios back to back?
Standard airbox - standard filter
Standard airbox - panel filter
Beside engine IK
K-tec style IK
I know there is a fast car test thread on best location but this doesnt compare it against the standard airbox.
My guess would be...
Those speeds are estimated ADSL2+ depending on cable quality from local cabinet and hardware inside your premises.
However given that these are on the highest side of ADSL2+ then its very likely that when your local exchange and cabinet have been upgraded then you'll probably see some high FTTC...
I think a lot of people instantly think that as soon as you get fibre from a 'home' based provider that they will get instantly quoted speeds. The problem is FTTC is just that, fibre to the cabinet, meaning depending on how far away from this you are the slower the speed you will get
Not to...
Well this is my thinking... all the while im thowing money at the Ph1 i know i'll never see any of it back, been there done that with the 205 Mi16 i had, dont regret it though.
i know i'd probably spend a few pennies on modifying the 197 too so thats the only thing swaying me to stay with the Ph1
i'd probably go for an R27 anyway even if it was just for the recaros and slightly more exclusive, would have to be in LY.
My brother had one and was lovely :)
