Hi everyone, joined a whileback as i have a massive softspot for renaultsport cars, i do not own one myself, iv had 2 106rallyes and 2 other 106's my dad is on the lookout for an r27 197 hopefully this year ill also be looking to buy one at the minute i own a s2106rallye in white, brembro 4pots...

try waiting a few years untill you can afford something else. or a K&N sticker will ad 50bhp

Thanks matt, the minis hold their value and arent worth what they fetch imo, yeah they are a great car and very reliable but i just think they are a little boring and cant see why anyone wuld chose on over something quicker unless they were a girl or couldnt get insured i.e me. :).. and...

wouldnt bother with a 106 to be honest mate, iv'e had 3 a 1.1 a quicksilver and a phase 1 rallye with lots of mods (too many to list) which ate 106 gti's and pulled a 15.1 at santa pod which i know aint blistering but not bad for an old 106. iv finally realised it aint just about the speed...

just had another check and this time it came out the same as the 172 on moneysupermarket, looking at the 0-60 times there doesnt seem to be much in it to be worried about unless im splitting hairs, i agree the 182's look a little better so as soon as the mini goes ill be straight off to look at...

oh and would go for a 182 but for some reason the insurance seems to always come up higher by around £200

Thanks mate, yeah realised it was abit girly and not for me after 1 drive, just wanted to get in the newer car market and out of the old chavy car market, my rallye ran a 15.1 1/4 mile and was a quick car, but to be honest id never have on again. with all the modcons new cars have they win hands...
